  1. yep, but that's not the discussion being had here, what is being discussed is the burst that has resulted in no bus service between Peckham Rye and the other end of Underhill Road, leaving elderly folk stranded and unable to get to Peckham or further. All a huge inconvenience.
  2. Only way to circumnavigate around TW's attempt at isolating those south of Piermont Green, i'd suggest are making use of the P12 or P13. Unfortunately no indication as too how long the three different "bursts" will take to be repaired and the obvious inconvenience it causes.
  3. Try P13 from Underhill Rd/Langton Rise junction to Peckham or P12 from Brenchley Gardens to Peckham or walk to the barracks, 561 Lordship Lane for a 363 or 197 to Peckham
  4. So you can get your teeth sorted, get a hair cut and buy a print all in one trip.
  5. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. Adam Richman eats football, Adam Richman eats Britain. So, asking for a friend, where the name Eats Dulwich come from?
  7. What, bodge it and Scarper are back, are they. They have to find someway of charging customers exorbitant costs for supplying and disposing of waste water, this is part of that exercise. How many times can we dig up and pretend to fix the same leak? Answers on a postcard to the Chief Exec, Thames Water Utilities.
  8. Perhaps the question to ask is why businesses are closing there, rather than "what's next?"
  9. If the "contractors became quite aggressive and threatening", call the police and report an in progress breach of the peace.
  10. Suggest you have a chat to someone professionally for some help and see what they say, before you give up.
  11. Jenijenjen -its nothing to do with being grumpy, its expecting people to use the language the way it is intended to be used and not use words incorrectly. calling someone grumpy on a local forum, you may find amusing, I find it demonstrates your arrogance and rudeness.
  12. navigating around and through some of the recent posts over the last few days and weeks here is becoming reminiscent of having to tread really carefully to avoid the many unexpected pitfalls just waiting to swallow you up, from a Victorian monologue that made no sense to a modern day blogger who prefers stacks. Always used the term stack in relation to burgers, but never a blog, where and what is the connection? I really have no idea.
  13. bloody cheek of it, do I remember what a blog is, how about writing using lanuage EVERYONE understands, how's about that then, how do you like those apples.
  14. What in heavens name is a substack? Anf just provide a proper link, not something linked to faceachebook
  15. Always entertaining and funny. keep it going, have missed what used to be a very regular occurrence.
  16. Glad you're happy with the service they provide you. Agreed the Snr Nurse Practitioner is fantastic, it is a shame that the other clinical staff seem unable to do the same. When was the last time you had a face to face consultation with a GP at the practice? Personally, unable to remember. As for the TTFO , probably unnecessary.
  17. Patient Participation Group meeting to be held at 6.30pm, on Thursday 23rd January 2025. Are you a patient at Forest Hill Road Group Practice? This is an opportunity to come along, listen to what they have to say as per the Agenda, and ask them some questions about any concerns you may have regarding the agenda items, or any other matters regarding the Practice and the impact and consequences it has on us, the patients. A few questions to think about for the patient participation meeting at the practice 1. The FHRGP Website Why aren't the staff's names and job titles listed on the site as they used to be, and like other practice's do? 2. Allocation of appointments Why is it practically impossible to see a GP at this practice? Why are you GP's, if you do not want to see patients face to face? The pandemic is long over, you're supposed to be providing a service to your patients,, but you rather do telephone consultations, patients want to be able to see their GP, why is this? Why do you send patients to the Tessa Jowell centre to see a GP? How many doctors work Full time at this practice? Why do doctors only do three days a week working for the practice, not a full week? Why does the practice not offer a walk in morning and afternoon surgery as the previous GP on Forest Hill Road used to offer till he retired? 3. Accessing non-urgent care Thought that was what the surgery was supposed to offer!! 4. A named GP My named GP keeps on changing, must be on the 5th one by now! Are the GP's fully qualified as GP's or are they part trained associate GP's? 5. Staff name badges Why are they not worn by staff? 6. Face to face appointments Why is it like walking through treacle to get an appointment, only to be told if you are fortunate to get an appointment that it is with a GP at the Tessa Jowell centre? How many patients in Q1 - Q4 of 2024 have had a face to face appointment with a GP at FHRGP? How many patients in Q1 - Q4 of 2024 have been referred to see a GP at Tessa Jowell Centre? And why is that? How many patients have had a home visit in Q1 - Q4 of 2024 ? 7. Older patients and apps Why not offer to help patients get the NHS app? 8. The long term plan Are you planning on closing this practice? It seems that GP's here do not want to see patients, but rather refer them to see other clinical staff here, Why is this? 9. A patients’ questionnaire We can do the questionnaire right here and now, no need to post one out. Do you have confidence in the Management and Leadership of the practice? Does the practice meet your clinical needs? How can the practice improve what it offers its patient's? Why are the resources of the practice not being fully utilised, there is so much unused and wasted space that could offer patients more services, i.e bloods, ultra sound scans, minor surgery unit?
  18. yes, totally agree about online shopping, people prefer to click the mouse and have the item delivered, with the saga which that entails rather than physically buying it, and this is the result businesses closing because it is no longer cost effective to provide the service, or the reverse happens and they increase and increase prices till the stage they price themselves out of the market. Shoppers need to ditch online shopping wherever possible.
  19. Time will tell if H&B are loved or loathed, the footfall they get and generate will determine if they stay or go. That's the nature of businesses, they come and go dependant on usage. Examples are M&S, Poundland Local, Co-op, Superdrug, Mons, the chain restaurant/takeaways, the chain Estate Agents, Toolstation, Screwfix to name a few. As much as people would like to see Lordship Lane remain a high street of independents, it is becoming clear that due to Landlords hiking rents, some are unable to survive. This leaves empty units which some of the chain brands considering it to be worth a "punt". I'd have thought that businesses operating in shops is a better alternative than a high street with multiple empty units, but what do I know, they are just thoughts on the subject. Take a look at Croydon and Bromley where what were once thriving high streets are in decline. I have to say that some of the prices charged by the independents are eye watering, and incomes i'd have thought have to be substantial to afford their prices. Personally I'd love a Lidl to open on what was the site of the Harvester, but I guess that would get shouted down, oh the thought of Lidl in Dulwich. Whatever next.
  20. IMO, Sealy, the best nights sleep you'll ever have.
