  1. As you say, it has happened, a real example is Rye Lane which at one time was a real shopping hub, four deep on the pavements. Change is gonna happen. People would rather have food deliveries to there door or order via Amazon than using the high street, you use it or lose it. And we've lost it..................................
  2. One Tree Hill Choir St Saviour’s Church, Brockley Rise SE23 1JN. Onetreehillchoir.co.uk
  3. Doesn't the 37 already go from Rye Lane to Herne Hill?
  4. Always thought that before the nursery moved in, it had been the Lodge responsible for Peckham Rye Park and Common, if I'm mistaken please correct me. Year sold Sold price 1999 £265,000 +6% 1997 £249,000
  5. According to TfL, their are no planned disruptions to the P13 on 4 & 5 September!!!!!!!!
  6. How about all the pollution comes from the 100o's of planes in the sky. It doesn't stay in the atmosphere, it comes down to earth, so why not charge airlines and plane manufacturers for all the pollution they cause????????????
  7. Very sad to hear that was the cause, as intexasatthe moment said, condolences and sympathies.
  8. If you're travelling through Peckham using Peckham High Street, suggest you check TfL Bus status updates as lots of buses are on diversion due to what must be a major road traffic collision.
  9. Just give them the id they are requesting and get your parcel, simple.
  10. I suppose it depends what package you have, what up and down load speeds you are looking for, if you are on fibre or ADSL?
  11. If there isn't the trade they will not survive, it's a wait and see game.
  12. Watch out; Watch out, it's pc M on patrol.................................................................................be afraid, be very afraid or you'll get a caution.......
  13. Was one at the bottom for many years but sadly that went as well.
  14. Suggest you ask i) ask Rockets who posted the link I commented on and ii) he got Labour their fourth consecutive loss and at that the biggest loss the Party had experienced. And this isn't North Korea yet, although those who want LTN's and CPZ's sure make it feel like that sometime. This is a democracy and I'll say whatever the damn I WANT to.
  15. Could be a disaster for the entirety of London if that nut job ran for Mayor of London, suggest he looks top run for Mayor of Moscow, wouldn't last long before Putin got sick of him and arranged for his swift exit to Siberia.
  16. Great outcome, great work Vladi and the petrol mower roars to cut more grass, all round a great result.
  17. And the batteries are neither reliable or have a long usage periods before requiring re-charging which I am regretfully finding out. +ve, very light and maneuverable machine, great result regarding cutting -ve, poor battery life both in terms of the battery itself and usage period before requiring re-charging, poor height selector mechanism, quite flimsy, grass collection box too small for machine's capability so it has it good and bad points

  19. I think this is a great idea, placing all the discussions regarding LTN's, CPZ's etc, i.e. "Roads and Transport" in one place, rather than being spread out across multiple threads. I found trying to follow these all really difficult and time consuming, especially as some were turning into long whiny monologues. I also think that this may allow and encourage other local issues which may well be bubbling under the surface to be raised and discussed. Small changes can make a huge difference. And just to clarify, it was my suggestion, so you can direct all your anxed and vexatiousness to me.
  20. Totally agree, nothing less than changing something that works absolutely fine, UTTER MADNESS
  21. Can someone translate into what he actually means "Cllr McAsh acknowledges change of CPZ approach and says it’s required as a matter of justice - non car owners should not subsidise use of public space by car owners etc."
  22. A total lack of cycling helmets is another worry, unfortunately not only is someone on a bike going to come a real cropper, but so is a pedestrian. Only a matter of time, if the NHS is not already busy enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. The crawl from Camberwell to Vauxhall which ever bus route you use is also a mare, after about 6.30am
  24. Been into town today, too many pinch points, too many traffic lights set to allow two buses through before changing back to red. Going from the Elephant up to Farringdon Road, an absolute mare of a journey, but this is what Khan has done with the imposition of cycle lanes. I can understand why people prefer to WFH. Forty plus years ago, used to do Forest Hill Road to Kings Cross, oh those were the days when traffic actually flowed.
