That's why A Cross borough/cross party approach is needed to tackle this latest set of proposals.

And please don't forget Lockdown 1, when he declared he wanted to protect bus drivers (which was right) but then decreed that all passengers must enter the middle doors and no fares were payable as a result. I wonder how much TfL lost as a result. Unfortunately Sadiqi was and remains in charge, so he needs to take responsibility for the financial mis-management. I however suspect that there is a political "game" in progress between City Hall and Central Govt (Grant Shapps) as the helm, Grant wants one thing and Sadiq is doing everything he can to disagree and create instability. Maybe the planned changes are just that, plans that Sadiq is using as a bargaining chip with Central Govt, don't know, just guessing.

I saw the Silver and Golden Jubilee's and now here we go with the Platinum Jubilee. It's a double bank holiday weekend, and I'm feeling it's time to begin pulling some tunes out for the four days of celebrations which are ahead, and funk up your life so what better way to start than with some funky sounds to get you tapping and bopping across the floor. Tune 1, from a bag bursting at the seams; Chaka Khan "I Know You, I Live You" Followed by a touch of sweet jazz; Eddie Russ, "take a look at yourself" -
That's, ?50 million pounds a year, you know where savings could be made, start looking at TfL. What justifies a salary of ?100K paid by TfL, absolutely nothing, it's plainly ludicrous. No wonder TfL are bust, apbremer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I read that well over 500 employees of TFL rake in > salaries of at least ?100,000 pa. Who is responsible for TfL , Sadiq is, therefore either he puts in place plans to maintain the service, (which he isn't doing based on the drastic changes being proposed) or he takes responsibility and holds his hands up for his ineptitude and financial incompetence for not running TfL effectively.

Below I have attempted to pick out bus routes which will most affect SE15, SE22 and SE23, please read and share. This is something I feel cross party and borough councillors from both Southwark and Lewisham need to work together on. Don't forget TfL's motto "Every journey matters", it sure don't feel like that from these proposals that not only include losing the No. 12 bus service but also the 78. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-61660409 [haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk] [haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk] [www.cityam.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] [ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com] Routes 1 (Tottenham Court Road-Canada Water) and 168 (Hampstead Heath-Old Kent Road) would be axed, although a new route would run from Hampstead Heath to Canada Water using most of the 1 and 168 routeing would be introduced. The new route is 'provisionally numbered' 1 but its actual number will be defined after the consultation Route 188 (Russell Square-North Greenwich) would be changed to start from Tottenham Court Road instead of Russell Square

really sorry to hear about yet a further incident at this practice. Perhaps report it to the CQC Care Quality Commission, and as what was the clinical commissioning group (CCG) no longer appears to exist. -

More "Going home for the weekend" tunes. Beginning with a soulful jazzy track by Jon Lucien, "Would You Believe in Me" and followed very swiftly with the high energy banger of Stephanie Mills, "You're puttin a rush on me" -

Cutting the 12 bus route will be a drastic curtailment. I can see the 363 also being at risk.

You can add Ayres in Nunhead to the list, who have been cashless since Covid and to be honest it makes no difference to me paying by card. You can check what you are spending by looking at what the cost of items are on your receipt. Or as in the bakers the spiked price tag in the bread at the front of the shelf.

Doctors appointments at Forest Hill Group Practice
jazzer replied to Lemmy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm sorry to hear of yet another FHRGP patient having such a difficult time trying to get the surgery to book an appointment to see them. They had absolutely no involvement with Covid vaccinations themselves, but rather directing everyone to either the Tessa Jowell Centre, the Lister Centre or anywhere else so they do not get involved. Although the practice had suitable facilities to offer these vaccinations. How this practice is able to function and remain financially viable is beyond me. I always thought the purpose of such a practice was to see those of its patients who were ill or suspected ill with a condition and needed help, support and guidance. Clearly this is not happening. However they are extremely hot, if not demanding on calling patients in for "annual health checks", insisting a double appointment is needed when in fact it is not. What could have been done efficiently in 10mins by a Health Care Assistant was stretched out into a wasteful 20mins. I left wandering what I had gained from having been seen and honestly, I got no benefit from it whatsoever. This practice is graded as "Good" by CQC, if anyone knows how theyare able to maintain that rating, please spill the beans.
