No they're not, generally London is becoming more lawless with less police and fewer and fewer police stations. Khan said he'd increase the numbers of police however the ploice commissioner said the opposite as the finances will not allow. Funny how the Mayor's proportion of the council tax was increased to cover policing but it ain't happening.

What standing on the world stage? Starmer is a wannebe leader, no charisma, no passion, no leadership but tonnes of dithering, wringing his hands and pooing his pants. I'd love to see Burnham give him a run for his money. Reason he became Mayor of Manchester was due to him no longer wanting to be in front line politics. This thread has now gone well off topic, perhaps it needs renaming. Mandy and Keith's bathrobe Or, how Mandy stuck it to Starmer

Austin's, oh what memories that brings.

Simple answer withdraw all Lime and Forest bikes, even better send them all to the crusher.

Try using their ask my GP an raise it as urgent and see if you get a quicker response. As an example had a telehone consultation on 4/9, was told by the GP to book a face to face which I did and that doesn't happen till 23/9. Why so long to be seen??????????????? Yep Peter Mandelson is officially toast. But what now MUST happen is that the title of Lord and all the privileges which go with that should be removed immediately. It's a long way up the pole but it's an even longer way back down as Mandelson is finding out.

Lunchtime today, Peckham Park Road. Lime bike cyclist turns into Peckham Park road from the Old Kent Road, cycles onto the pavement, comes o a stop and leaves the bile in the middle of the pavement. This is what you're up against, Lime cyclists with no thought for others but themselves, selfish!!!!!!!!!

Would YOU trust the Met with your personal data? No chance. And why are you required to Register? They are a Police Service, not the FBI or CIA.

- had all the wrong connections at the wrong time - fraternised with some well dodgy blokes or rather one at least - smart and smooth talker - he has all the smoothness and ability to flatter - he is highly polished - skilled at making personal connections - never liked or trusted the chap, reminiscent of a slime ball

PMQ's at midday today, he rubs his hands in glee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we all win, if we utilise the grey economy what we pay saves 20%, win win really

The grey economy means cash in hand jobs result in The Chancellor not getting any tax (VAT)

PYTCHLEY ROAD, SE22: ROUTE P13 towards New Cross Sainsbury's is on diversion via Dog Kennel Hill, Grove Vale, East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye and Rye Lane due to an emergency services incident. Buses will not serve stops from 'Pythchley Road' to 'Blenheim Grove'.

I'm trying to be civil, see things from different perspectives and avoid arguments. The grey economy is cash in hand, so no tax to be paid, Chancellor loses out, we all win. Zero hrs contracts must be tough not knowing where or when the next work is coming from. My position might not be great, but with a bit of sensible weekly shopping, stocking up on best buys etc. one survives and life ain't that bad.

Fair points, not arguing with you on them. What people forget is that immigrants or low skilled workers do the jobs the home population don't want to do and without those jobs being done, things very quickly grind to a halt, i.e. hospital cleaners, all very necessary, but I'd have thought the majority are on minimum wage. And Minimum Wage (35hrs/wk) isn't exactly what I'd call minimum. Just over £21K, easily double and a bit more than what I get in monthly pension income to live off.

1. No he's not, he made a pigs ear of things, his leadership was poor and his behaviour was unbecoming of the highest office in the land. 2. No they don't, he was a prime buffoon 3. Not a messiah, in no way. He caused great damage to both the Party and Country after three years of differing by May. The only thing he completed was B r e x i t. Are we paying the price. Don't ask me, I was in an induced coma at the time, fighting for my own life.

My comment is trying to not take any political side but rather be objective on what I see, hear and read. If the Government made a positive difference to people's lives, people would be pro this Govt, but sadly the majority don't see an improvement since they have been in Office, but rather the opposite so people's opinions of the Government are poor. I think if you did a straw poll of users on here, the result for those in favour of the Government is likely to be unfavourable, but I may be totally wrong, quite possible. No one I speak or am in contact with has a single good word to say about the current Administration. In fact the calls for a General Election just become stronger and stronger.

According to TfL website no disruptions to either the 63 or 363, yet lunch time today the 363 was still on the Barry Road diversion route. Can anyone confirm if the 63 and 363 are back using Forest Hill Road please?
-
If you can get to Underhill Road use the P13, just an idea. But agreed with the 63, 363 and now 12 curtailed it makes travelling much more challenging and difficult. Is the 197 able to go from Peckham to Croydon via Dulwich Still?

Response from Thames Water, Thames Water @thameswater Hi there, this is essential repair work and we expect to be completed by 9th September. Sorry for any trouble this has caused? - Jay 6:43 PM · Sep 6, 2025 · 5 Views

@thameswater How long are the works on Peckham Rye between the junction with Barry Road and Forest Hill Road going to take to repair? The 63 and 363 are suspended and on diversion, leaving Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road, Woodvale through to Lordship Land SE22 with no bus service. Just posted the above on Thames Water Twitter, the more that post, the more likely we are to get some answers and hopefully work on the repair.
