i did make a mistake by typing "above of there website" instead of off, and forgot quotes. The owners have used there right, a court hearing to take place on the 19th.. This is not about doing what they please, in fact, th?ngs have got so bad because the powers that be have done exactly as they please. Is it enough to just talk and complain about it behind a computer, often ive noticed from discussions on this forum these threads go round and round, only speaking about whos right or wrong. A resignation that nothing could be done, regarding goverments, economy etc. which i believe leads to people beiieving they have a superior perception of reality. I can understand how people associate the protesters under the usual stereotypes, yes there are all sorts of people there but they have come together regardless of differences. Some havin similiar views to many on here, difference is theres more respect for individual views with the recognition of wanting to make it better.

I think the people who deal with complex, interconnected decisions have let us down. There is a relatively small amount of people at Saint Paul, how would you suggest they reach a decision. Remembering of course the amount of people in that 7billion who feel they have no voice. I do not think it will be a quick, easy process for changes that will make this this planet a more fair place to live, but there are many people aware of the hypocrisy and greed which is stifling ourselves and children. Edited to say Why do keep saying "yours" huguenot, this is only my opinion.
-
No Huguenot I'm saying not everyone is suited to whats on offer from our non private education system, some believing it is better to look for alternatives.Bank of ideas is offering a space. Loz I don't get what you are saying, there are many different opinions, people involved with this protest, a concensus is reached after everyoneone has an oppurtunity to debate, face to face. Or maybe you just prefer consultation periods the councils use.

Everyone should feel safe and welcome in the Bank. Our Safer Spaces Policy asks people to be mindful and respectful of how their ideas or actions might effect others, and there is a No Drugs and Alcohol Policy. As this is a public space any damage or disrespect to the property would be an act of disrespect and violence towards your own community, a community trying to come together to find positive solutions to our current crises. We ask all people who come into the space to come in with respect. Above of there website here http://www.bankofideas.org.uk/ This may be hard for you to understand Jeremy, but not all parents are happy with education, many home educating. Nor does everyone feel there children are safe in school.

Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We do. People from all over the world can read > this forum. Was thinking the same Brendan. Jeremy This is not a new concept, theres loads of squats, social centres been offering there spaces to be used. If parents want to take up this offer, and create something different, obviously there are some who would find the idea absurd, regardless of this building lying empty over two years. What would you like to see happen with this space or would you rather it lay empty.

http://www.economicvoice.com/occupy-london-makes-ubs-building-into-bank-of-ideas/50025817#axzz1eSz77Zrv Occupy Londons website "The centre was opened on Saturday morning as the ?Bank of Ideas?, with activists promising to make space available for those that have lost their nurseries, community centres and youth clubs to Government spending cuts." Why not use a building thats standing empty, pity the goverment couldn't come up with ideas like this.

And so it seems hugonot believes, no poppy no respect . Your post shows no respect for children and there rite to have there own thoughts. Empathy, respect and consideration is not for one day, maybe you should apply it to the living, after you have taken your poppy off, of course.
-
Glad it was partly resolved BB100 but i agree, the wearing of a poppy without a choice neither shows nor encourages children to have there own thoughts.
-
BB100 I think it is wrong to make children wear a poppy, and agree that assuptions are made if you refuse. If they have the power to exclude your nephew for a day, i am now assuming, they must give him the work he would have been doin at school, for him to do at home. I have found in situations where schools forget individuality, it is often better for a parent to get involved, if the child feels he is not being heard. This often opens a dialogue where understanding is met.

40 weeks on sat - help me bring it on!
TE44 replied to shellbear's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Are you with community midwives, they should support you whatever you decide. It is your decision, I've never encountered midwives suggesting a time limit where there is no problems. If you are attending hospital, make it clear to them what you want. Good luck. -
former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
TE44 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James, I would have thought you would be in a much better position than me to find out this information, if you can I would appreciate you sharing it. One of my concerns about this company is the fact they do not feel they have to answer to the public. I am also interested in what is happening to our recycling, how much is going into landfills, how much is contaminated, is it shipped overseas? Has Southwark council had any problems with this company? -
Allergies - why so many these days?
TE44 replied to new mother's topic in The Family Room Discussion
http://www.allergicchild.com/causes_food_allergy.html Scroll dow this link to increased vaccinations. There have been studies done on children who have not been vaccinated, many showing these children are less likely to have allergies. This does not however prove scientifically that vaccines cause allergies. There was a recent KIGGs survey done: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/236170-New-Study-Vaccinated-Children-Have-2-to-5-Times-More-Diseases-and-Disorders-Than-Unvaccinated-Children I can see, when a survey is done on the internet, it would raise concerns, I'm surprised more scientific studies have not been done, instead of the usual scare tactics mothers are faced with. -
Yes Sue, that was why I posted it. I feel when big companies are given contracts, especially a company like this, who are also involved in the global water management, believe they do not have to answer to the likes of you or me. I my be naive but i believe the problem with recycling can be dealt with much more sufficient if it was community lead.

TE44 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James, you can watch it here. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/4od#3243518 I understand it may be easier for people but many of the mixed recycling bundles end off in landfills because they are contaminated, and what about the people who do want to seperaste. Dispatches explains the bigger picture better than I can. I don't agree with private companys dealing with such an important issue, especially companies like this. http://uk.oneworld.net/article/view/166262/1/5847#top Has Southwark council had any problems with this company. -
Agree mynamehere, employing a private company who took there employers to court to stop information being given to public http://uk.oneworld.net/article/view/166262/1/5847#top

TE44 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, Can you tell me why Southwark council prefer mixed recycling, paper, plastic, glass and tin, After watching dispatches on channel 4 last night,I would very much like to know the process used by Southwark Council to ensure our recycling is not going into landfills. -
Bob you are a joker but made me laugh. I think I put up earlier, regardless of how much you do or don't understand the language its much clearer and easier to know how you feel about situations. I've had a look, as I believe it would have been impossible to understand the main posters points without looking for myself. I occasionally have a look at different sources hoping to be convinced that there is a group that has managed to internally bring some positive change. However, it's the same old story. We all see things through our own reality and it seems we all agree there is going to be changes. I would rather communicate face to face,as feel Ive been misinterpreted, bye folks, off for a week with my children, to have a real look at how things are changing.

MM Is it so hard to believe that people have views that are similiar, I am neither a helper nor do I know any of the above mentioned, Maybe some of the people on here should consider there own conspiracy theories.

Katie97 I found your post "Let's hear what, er, UDT has to say, eh, 'New' Nexus?" insulting, as far as I can remember your postings have in a funny juvenile way been based around paranoia. I don't mind a laugh, but I feel your above posts are a pisstake, when someone wants to give there understanding of your wit, you can't hear it. But nice to see you appreciate the nessie post. edited (typing mistake)
