  1. Katie97 I hope it's ok for me to comment: "Let's hear what, er, UDT has to say, eh, 'New' Nexus?", Don't you think there are others hurling personal insults? Don't you think it's strange you only perceive insults when it's someone who has different views to you. "As it happens, I don't understand the financial crisis much and rather than joining a specific forum for finance professionals (eg experts), I thought that I'd join the East Dulwich Forum in the hope that someone whose knowledge I could trust would join up thus enlightening me in all manner of financial crisis matters (and the collapse of civilisation as we know it)". Please tell me is the "collapse of civilisation as we know it", bracketed because you feel the people who are enlightening you have covered the changes you believe will come?
  2. http://www.wanttoknow.info/911/black_eagle_trust_fund And here's another.
  3. Nice utopian middle class pipe dream; to quote one of my favourite cinematic characters: "Shiiit, you gotta be rich in the first place to think like that." Mockney Piers So you think the only people who can attempt to teach there children or offer them another way of life is middle class people, gotta say the above has caused a lot of laughs here. NN I looked up PCA and FDIC but to be honest it just sounds like another meant to be independant group, who regulates the regulators? I welcome experts but also have a problem with the kind who do not believe they have anything else to learn. The ones who speak down to people and believe they know whats best. I wonder how many people reading this thread, feel they could not post there thoughts cause theres to many experts trying to put people in there place, a nice safe little slot.
  4. NN The people who hold the needle I'm speaking about recognise the criminals are in charge, and are trying there best to create an alternative way of living, not everyone wants material wealth. I reckon if unemployed, especially the young, were offered a chance to live and work the land, to learn of alternative energies and appreciate nature, many would jump at the chance. I realise there are festivals that offer this chance, but again, at a price many can't afford.
  5. I take it from the knowledgable posts on this thread there may be no tolerance for people who don't have the same understanding of economics. I know many people who absolutely know that changes they believed would probably happen in there grandchildrens life have fast forwarded. Economy to many is a created illusion, a language on its own, to stop your everyday person understanding how corrupt it is. There seems to be an agreement with all posters on how corrupt it is. NN I'm sure many are playing hunt the thimble, some may have the needle to stitch up the old and make something new.
  6. Hi Crystal7, I know you are worried about breech but it doesn't have to end with a c section, many people have normal deliveries. I can understand recent recommendations are advising c sections but the choice is still yours. There is still time for baby to turn, my son turned later in pregnancy, while I was using a flotation tank. Good luck.
  7. http://www.mind.org.uk/help/mind_in_your_area/244 Southwark mind may be able to help, worth giving them a ring.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-13944209 It seems they are still prescribing heroin in London. (link) I think it's a good idea, if people being prescribed methadone are selling it for heroin, and this is well known, Isn't the system encouraging a black market, it used to be cheaper to prescribe heroin than methadone, not sure if that is still the case.
  9. People are addicted to gambling, food, smoking, prescription drugs etc, although these all may be legal just wondering if above posters feel these peoples choices should also be questioned. I agree with LadyDeliah about decriminalization, but feel a close watch would be needed and a strong connection between goverment to the streets.
  10. http://www.blackpoppy.org.uk/index.html Black Poppy is a magazine which has been going for many years now. The people who put this together are drug users and ex users who would like to be part of the solution instead of the problem. They have taken on many issues and helped users to become more informed about there choices in drug taking. Click on link for new website
  11. Hi, It is your decision if you want to try turning, I allowed hospital to try but stopped them almost immediately as it was uncomfortable and did not feel right. I went on to have an natural birth (no she didn't turn). I realise it now may be advisable to have a c-section for breech, but the choice is still yours. I hope your baby decides to turn, I also tried exercises but she wouldn't budge.
  12. Went with children (youngest 2} to visit my friend not long after she'd had her baby, she got me to tube, said our goodbyes, was let through together at gate with pram and kids only to hear my friend shouting for me, I'd taken her baby, forgetting I hadn't taken a pram that day. She said she was so used to seeing me with a pram she didnt think anything when I wheeled her away.
  13. Vitiman E oil is very good and can be used on children.
  14. I think it would depend on the sort of day I've had, there is always situations on buses when you travel with children in London, somedays its not important enough to give much thought to it. I cant imagine reacting the same way to similiar situations, attitudes etc because so often it depends on how the children are, tired, teething etc.
  15. This was the water board, they showed I.D. to my son, but best to be safe than sorry.
  16. There's the HesFes coming up, last week in July, link below. Know its not a local thing but good for meeting up with lots of people who have chosen to home educate. http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/hesfes/2011/
  17. I would be careful of giving this drug for more than 3 days, regardless of the reason for giving it. It states on link below it should not be given any longer, I think you have to be careful because of the affect it can have on the stomach. Maybe putting a pillow under the mattress will help him breath, hope he gets better soon. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100004891.html
  18. Its the "until further notice" that worries me.
  19. Barbara Harris is part of Project Prevention, she has been paying drug addict in America to agree to be sterilized. Last year Alan Mitchell, a british citizen also a drug addict, was paid to have a vasectomy. PP has come to the UK, (link) There has been conflicting info from this website and from Barbara Harris. It may not be compulsary but I believe it is a step in that direction. http://www.projectprevention.org/united-kingdom/
  20. My dad used to roll a special little single skinner for his journey to work by tube, he spotted a guy smoking a pipe so sat next to him thinking it would hide the smell of his rollie substance. As the journey went on he felt everyone looking, thought about putting it out, avoided staring directly at anyone, but hoped in his paranoia the guy with the pipe would get the blame. It wasnt till he was getting off that he realised he was sitting next to Tony Benn.
  21. Poor you, I know geranium mixed with a base (almond oil, etc) found link below, cant find what oils are used, and don't know the product, but gotta be better than surgery. http://www.forces-of-nature.org/hemorrhoids/hemorrhoids+treatment+remedy.htm
  22. Administrator, Can you tell me why you did not remove my earlier posts when I first asked James about this issue, I find this very confusing. I removed the link which was put up to show James how conflicting the info was, but still you are refusing to let me ask James in my own words. I take it you do not believe the school issue is an election issue.
  23. Sorry about that, I suppose everything can be seen as an election issue, but that was not why I asked. Hi James, There seems to be conflicting information about empty houses in Southwark, but can you explain why the audit commisions report put Southwark Council as the second worse borough in London, highlighting especially the housing problems.
  24. Administrator Why do you keep removing my post, I am replying to James on an earlier subject.
  25. Hi james, Can you click on the link below, which gives a very differnt account to yours regarding empty council houses. Is this information false below? if so, why were Southwark Council given a red flag from the Audit Commision, Southwark now being the second worse borough in London. http://www.southwarklabour.co.uk/7267fa84-6829-4114-9dc4-d6cbae4015f4
