    MPs' expenses

What about people in public office behaving with the integrity which befits their station? But that clearly doesn?t apply anymore. These are partisan individuals out to make a buck and further their careers. This is a good thing apparently. They are merely reflecting the greed based society that the last few generations have so wisely built for us. People can?t be expected to be honourable when they are competing and looking out for number one. Competition and selfishness are what make the brave new world we live in great. It functions so well after all. So that is where we are, an incestuous group career politicians looking out for their own, running the country. Basically the type of self-centred shitehawks you would hire to run a sales office of some sorts. So perhaps we should treat them as such. Give them performance related pay. If they do their jobs properly and deliver to the public what it needs/wants they can get an extra couple of grand to spend on a new motorbike or Thatcher look-alike dominatrix. If not, sack them.
  2. Oh dear, it?s like an alien has read about this thing called satire in a book about earth and decided to give it a try. All the right elements are there but they?re brought together all wrong.
  3. It?s all got something to do with spanners, beer and/or reversing a car with a trailer hitched on.
  4. If you have a desire to make someone else happy you?ll be ok. If you?re just chasing after your own happiness you will never find someone who doesn?t piss you off. (Brendan?s pop psychology 101. Next week, why those cigarettes mean you weren?t breast fed.)
  5. I've never heard them called that before.
  6. Well I for one think it is a disgrace. Victorian replica lampposts in Nunhead! I?m writing to the council and the MP about this.
  7. Bastards. Complete and utter bastards. Cut their Achilles tendons I say. That?ll learn ?em. If they persist throw them into the North sea.
  8. Isn't a dodle a mix between a dobermann and a poodle? Very popular these designer dogs are. I?ve always been ahead of the times me and as a boy I had a dog that had so many different breeds in it that a suitable moniker would take up at least 2 lines of an A4 exercise book.
  9. Like wot I said on that other thread, ?one who doesn?t define herself by how she appears to men? Well that and the rude bits I suppose.
  10. Here are some fine examples http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/
  11. Tell them it?s your policy not to be told what to do by a clothes shop put your first 3 items in the ?free? bag, the rest under your arm and put them in the bag as soon as you leave the counter.
  12. I can?t say I can comment precisely on what makes a ?real? woman but I think it has something to do with biology. But an admirable woman to whom many others would do well to aspire to I would say is one who doesn?t define herself by how she appears to men. Or women for that matter.
  13. Sorry that was obviously a lie intended to inflame the public into a fear driven frenzy.
  14. I?m wearing a blue shirt.
  15. There is such a thing as bra policy? Is this a purely internal matter for bra producers or is it governed by some overarching body and/or legislation? What does it have to say on the wearing of or not and transparency issues?
  16. I don't get it. Which windows? and whose sock?
  17. Oh and based on the reasoning displayed in your last post I can only dismiss it as complete twaddle.

Oh, those are mostly expressed quite expertly in the indignant dross that is so often spewed out on here about decent hardworking people who commit the heinous crimes of existing and caring about their environs.
  19. Just a few thoughts, Crime = Bad People talking about what?s going on in their community = Good Thinking that people talking about what is going on in their community is somehow invalid because of who you perceive these people to be = Stupid
  20. If these conditions continue and there is much play it?s going to be difficult for the batsmen with the ball moving around. I think they may be doing a rain dance in the Windies locker room this morning. Has anyone else noticed how pissed off Chris Gayle is looking? I?m expecting him to punch someone any minute now. Perhaps Mark Nicholas after he asks him one too many uncomfortable questions about catching practice.

'strue. I've been in London for 7 years and I've not once been mugged by a robot of any colour. True what Sean says. I don't think anyone lives in London under the illusion that it is anything other than big city with lots a lot of social inequality and crime. I just don?t believe in being complacent about it. If people are aware, raise public knowledge, look out for each other and call for action where things can be done it can be made better.
  22. Oh, my apologies lenk.
