  1. The George Canning at about 1.30pm. As Micky P said, I think it would be prudent to start with a spot of lunch.

    HD box

Strawbs I have no idea what an HD box is either but I would council not finding out. As soon as you know what it is you will no doubt feel an inconsolable emptiness in your life that can only be filled by a dirty great box full of HDs (whatever they may be). Trust me, I had a similar experience with a thing called a career.
  3. That whole area has very dodgy reception, for analogue telly as well. When I lived at the top end of Goodrich Road I had to get cable. It was impossible to get a normal signal.
  4. Well good form there from Jimmy after rat face tried to kill him. Came back and faced him again bravely but got undone by a yorker. Still 30 odd from the night watchman then. Then KP comes in and promptly goes out. What a wally.
  5. Bump. EDF Pub crawl this Saturday folks. All welcome, it should be a laugh. Come for the duration or pick it up halfway through. I will work out a route this afternoon and post it up.
  6. I?m sure I have no idea what you could possibly be talking about.
  7. Well the interesting question at the moment is how long Jimmy's cameo is going to last.
  8. And then let Argentina into the tri-nations. But let's not get distracted by rugby. Anyone got any predications for the cricket. Will England manage to pull off a heroic save here or will it all be over by tea today?
  9. Well you should be ok there but don?t travel too far South as the largest single population of Boers outside South Africa is in Patagonia.
  10. Doesn?t everyone in Lichtenstein wear leadenhouses and live in Castles? Oh and about that skiing thing. Well there's these guys apparently,

It's just another way of making money. What is the profit you make on doing these checks? What do you charge? ?50, ?100? When someone on this thread just said you can get one done for ?2.50. If you want to check a person's ability to pay just look at their payslip or ask for a reference from their employer. All employers will give this info happily and for free. But I suppose you couldn't try to charge people for it then. I would strongly advise that you try to rent privately Lorenika.
  12. Just offering some sporting advice. touchy, touchy. it?s just a game you know.
  13. Methinks Messrs. Flintoff, Pietersen et al could benefit from an introductory course on how to bat in a test match, delivered by one Mr. A. Prince.
  14. Tony you are clearly either insane or still feeling the loved-up effects of a Saturday night ecstasy binge.
  15. This from the BBC's TMS inbox: From Dawid Burger, TMS inbox: "Here in South Africa we have the quota system when selecting teams to right the wrongs of the past. Is Pattinson part of your program representing ex-colonies?"
  16. I adopt more of a, stay the hell away from anything that can be used as a weapon and hide under a table until it all dies down, kind of strategy to pub fights.
  17. I can't help but picture him stroking a white Persian whilst giving the commentary.
  18. Yeah but that's why you pair them off against each other and not, say, boxers. I?ve always wanted to see a fight break out on a cricket pitch. It?s 11 against 2 but the 2 guys are wearing helmets and have bats. So it would be pretty entertaining.
  19. And there you go 10 minutes wasted and no small concern for my therapist.
  20. You could fill up you time with writing any old rubbish on the forum. Like last week my cat was stolen by gay, racist pit bulls. You laugh but that?s probably one of the least surreal things that have happened to me lately. I remember as if it were yesterday the hour I spent yesterday afternoon standing on a rock in Peckham Rye Park. Stevie her name was, the rock that is, not the turtle that was watching me. Now naming rocks is an old tradition and one not practised ?round these parts since the ?80s so I am assuming that Stevie was at least very old. But I digress. So there I was, just carrying out the orders I had left myself in a sealed and enveloped all those years back. Orders that yesterday afternoon didn?t make much sense but I knew that they had to be followed or calamity would surely befall the diner and Billy Ray?s dream for a soda machine may reach their horrible conclusion. It was raining too which didn?t help. Although I did find solace in the fact that I didn?t own an open topped car. It?s afternoons like yesterday that leave a man to ponder and ponder I did. I took to pondering over the amount of time I spend writing nonsense online. Particularly how one gets confused. Like when I was standing at the bar in the plough and tried to type a witty retort to the guy standing next to me. Although I don?t know why I took so much offence to him calling me a wally. Perhaps it?s because he was a Kiwi or Celine Dion.
