  1. Anyone know if it will be open by next saturday?
  2. I though I sounded rather eloquent the first time so I quoted myself. ;-)
  3. I don?t see how people can stomach a concept as fundamentally wrong as a royal family just because ?they were nice and polite to me.?
  4. :-S

  6. I didn?t know that any comments on Teutonic goat herds were attributed to Jesus. Although I have always had my suspicions about, ?Yodel-ay, yodel-ay, yodel-ay, i, oooo.?
  7. I?m more of a 22.86 Centimetre Nails man myself.

  10. Is that 1639 metric or imperial?
  11. Yes, Eurythmics, that grandson of mine listens to them. Terrible racket, like a bent shovel.
  12. It had plenty of support and was always full on the weekends and later in the evening. They didn?t close because of lack of business they just decided it was time to move on. On in this case being out of London I think. Although I?m sure +Venture are going to have plenty of support as well. Just of a different kind.
  13. Anyone notice this little gem on some of their signage: +VENTURE
  14. Come on *Bob* surely EVERYONE knows what 'badge.php' means. jeez.
  15. I think it?s imperial. If we went metric you would have to say 4.8 sheets to the wind. You would too you know. They would force you with their EU, their human rights and their PC. Not that you would be able to achieve said state as the measures you would be paying over the odds for (in them Europes, foreign money) would be so small.
  16. So what are we going to do with universally understood and undisputed measures like, a bit, some, plenty, shitloads, a shed load, heaps, piles, lumps, miles away, shortly, humongous, ickle, enough to kill a small horse? etc etc?

  19. What?s this? The Fight Flight?
  20. 138 runs, 448 balls and over nine hours at the crease. That?s how you save a match. Boringly.
  21. Not content with having skived off on Thursday to go to Lords my boss decided he would take the day off and go to the cricket again today. He did very kindly ask me if I would like to come along. ?Well,? I said, ?I do kinda have some editing to do today.? ?Ah so you have.? He quipped, ?I?ll see you tomorrow then.? Fucker! (6)
  22. You?re one to talk what with that lobster on your shoulder.
  23. Dull? You mean they aren?t going to come out, make a quick fire 250 and then bowl England out?
  24. Sorry Piers, I?m sure you have a point but after just seeing Sean Mac?s last post I will never be able to take anything you say seriously again.
