  1. So if you didn't insist on firstly playing soccer and secondly being shite at it you would all get along fine.
  2. We were somewhere around Goose Green on the edge of East Dulwich when the booze began to take hold. Any intentions of only one drink per pub being abandoned as mean spirited, unsustainable and silly about ten seconds after the first drink of the day was finished. Our intrepid group, growing in numbers with every tavern we visited, arrived at the Gowlett at some stage in the afternoon. Here, lulled by the background chirping a childish bickering over diet coke, we were regaled with tales of horizontal slappage while we relaxed in their sun-trap back garden. It was around this point that I realised that the ten o?clock speaking rubbish watershed was going to have to be moved forward a good few hours for the day. We arrived at the EDT no later or earlier than the time of our arrival. By this stage our numbers were quite substantial and all seemed in full flow. Next was the CPT where, having partaken in an elegant sufficiency, I made my leave. What you lot got up to after that I couldn?t possibly say. So 5 different pubs in one day, schedules and plans strictly ignored and a whole lotta fun. Nice to see everyone. I had a great time. If we're going to do the 17/8 I'm going to have to start lining my stomach now. With Ronseal perhaps.
  3. Can you burn a pier to the ground? Surely it?s to the water.
  4. This is quite chilling (and sadly all too common in sub-Saharan Africa). It has to be commended as brave journalism. It?s not everyday that you read an article on the BBC that ends in the words, ?Even if I die today, those involved will have been exposed.? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7523796.stm
  5. Awww. I find that a bit endearing actually.

I would like to categorically apologise for the offence my previous post must have caused to English people. I was clearly being racist or worse by implying that Englishness was some sort of condition which manifests in disliking the French, bad fashion sense and limited conversation skills.
  7. I?m going to resist the temptation to fill this thread with clips from Kevin Smith films. Right after this one, which is about internet forums:
  8. here's Jay a character whose appearance in 8 (I think) films has been one long swear word. Proof that swearing doesn't necessarily have to be clever to be funny
  9. Me too. Can you brush your teeth with beer?
  10. Arguably, spending the day sober in the company of drunk people could be seen good preparation for having children.
  11. Mamora Man, all your troubles started when you made the schoolboy error of going to a shopping centre. If you want to live a happy, stress free life such places are to be avoided on pain of death.

Sorry I was talking out my bum. I?m sure what I meant to say was 2pm. :-S Honestly now that I have a wife at home and an assistant at work I have become completely shit at doing anything organisational myself.
  13. I must admit I?m not very pub-fit at the moment but I did drink 2 pints and half a bottle of wine last night. Just to get the liver warmed up.
  14. Beat me to it Hibbs. I?m ironing my drinking trousers as we speak. Who?s up for a stomach-lining lunch at the George Canning at about 1pm before getting underway or perhaps at that restaurant next door?
  15. Beans! I?ll tell you about beans. Fry some fresh chilli and garlic in olive oil add a can of beans and a splash of vinegar (white balsamic preferably) serve on toast and cover with grated cheese. Well that is if I am not fiercely hung-over which is when I normally make beans on toast. Hangover beans go like this: Fry the bread in butter, heat up the beans and pour them over the bread, cover in Tabasco sauce (about half a bottle should do) cover in grated cheese. Enjoy with a cup of coffee on the sofa while you watch T4 and try to piece together the events of the previous evening. Although I do think that any recipes involving the noble, baked-bean do not in anyway qualify you for gastrosexuality because in all honesty they?re never going to get you laid.
  16. What he said.
  17. i have no idea what you mean innit.
  18. It is all well and good to look back with nostalgia at the availability of urchins and constitution of the women in times past but believe me it will not feel so romantic when you are shoving a handful of leaches down your trousers 3 times a day as treatment for the 3rd degree burns you received from your steam powered mobile phone. Do I get a prize for the world?s longest sentence?

  20. I find your assertion ludicrous sir. If we were to work on that logic we would have to shut down the power stations to prevent people being hit by trains. In my mind there is no doubt that the blame should be laid squarely* at the feet of the manufacturers of audio devices. * How exactly you lay something squarely I have no idea.
  21. I?m not getting into this anymore it?s like banging your head against a brick wall.
  22. I think you are unfairly going after car alarms there. It?s the speakers for car alarms that are the culprits. If they didn?t insist on fitting the things with speakers they wouldn?t make any noise at all.

  24. My favourite thing about Duck Tales was the theme tune.
