We have monthly booze-ups so that people can put faces to names. They are very congenial affairs.
  3. Glad she?s back Ant. They do that sometimes. My cat once disappeared for about 3 weeks. We had just about given up when one day I walked in and she was lying on the sofa looking perfectly healthy. Not even so much as a by your leave.
  4. I may be getting things mixed up here but at what point do they say hey-nonny-nonny.
  5. I was fighting a corner. I made my choice and I stuck to it.

"Stuck in a job that is crushing every last bit of fire from my soul, and desperate for something new..." I know the feeling Keef.
  11. I see a comedy sketch coming on.
  12. I read the title to this thread and thought you were going to offer us tips on how to annoy famous people. Personally I don?t know any famous people. I know lots of annoying people but no famous people.
  13. On the corner of Crawthrew Grove and Spurling road there are two empty shops. The one has a to-let sign outside and the other, the one closest to Lordship Lane, is closed up but on Saturday night I?m sure I saw a red neon sign through the window that said ?sex?. The sign was facing towards the inside of the shop. Anyone have any ideas?
  14. Should the English rugby team perform a Morris dance in reply to the Kiwis Haka?
  15. Sounds fun. Do they let in Libertarian foreigners?
  16. That looks like a perfectly sensible mode of transport Mockney. I think you should get one. I have been looking at big chrome covered motorbikes recently. I?m also growing my hair. Is 30 too young for a midlife crisis? Anyway I have a theory that cars have to prove themselves. If after 20 years they are still attractive and functional then they are great and worthy of praise. You can generally see when a new car is released whether it will have these qualities but some surprise you. BMW E30s are starting to look really good. But then I?m an opinionated so and so. And at the moment I drive a newish vauxhaul asbo as Mrs B needs a ?practical? car for work and we can?t justify having 2 cars in London so I?m also a hypocrite. Sorry you have been offended jonsuissy sometimes a little more than a pinch of salt is required on this forum.
  17. Lets not be antagonistic Bob. I?d be mighty peeved if my motor got smashed up. No matter what it was.
  18. Pah. I can't see how something that gets me to work quicker could possibly be a good thing.
  19. He's a footballer David, who used to play for arsenal, then was transferred to various other teams and now plays for Kellogg?s. Actually, has he endorsed as many products as teams he played for?

  21. Are the 90's retro yet? I'm just holding out for my clothes to be fashionable again so I can blend in down LL.
  22. That South African 747 flyby thing was done at quite a few sporting events (rugby, cricket etc). I always found it tasteless.
  23. What I don't understand is why someone would think that would be a positive thing for the area. :-S Anyway I guess having some kind of idea about local ground conditions is not necessary for these ?people?
  24. Nope Billy Crystal is a local American actor known for his rugged facial features and many roles in Westerns.
  25. Can't say I know who he is. Jack Palance did you say? Wasn't he the third drummer for Slaughter and the Dogs.
