  1. Nah it?s sorted. They are coming to install the fence around Nunhead next week.
  2. with Spanish subtitles for some reason.
  3. This one is your fault Sean as you mentioned it in another thread. Quite a cool live version. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wh9AC0jCGjY&mode=related&search=
  4. Foxton's?! Bloody hell has a Foxton's opened up 'round here? Well there are some folks who will have something to say about that!
  5. I even has ninjas! >:D
  6. I love those cheesy ?80s videos like that one for Legs. They were always packed with characters: villains, heroes, underdogs who come out on top and pretty girls who are hard done by. A bit like ?80s films really. This one has to be the ultimate. Done like all of their stuff, with tongue firmly in cheek: Zodiac Mindwarp ? Backseat Education
  7. If I google my full name all that comes up are my write-ins to the Guardian?s online cricket commentary. I found this out when I went to a job interview and one of the questions was, ?So, cricket fan then are you Brendan??
  8. I'm pretty safe. A lot of other Brendans out there who come up way before me. If you google "Brendan" AND "East Dulwich" it is a different story.
  9. Perhaps they have cottoned on to the fact that their branded cars antagonise the general public and have change to ?unmarked vehicles? What surprises me is that they didn?t realise in the first place the way people would react to loads of cars all obviously from the same company taking up swathes of the local parking spaces.
  10. With a camera that is. ;-) And make a report to the police that they are causing a public nuisance.
  11. Shoot them?
  12. Yeah I suppose you?re right there CWLD. What is the point of having a ?1m house if you don?t regularly have a reason to cover yourself from head to toe in Vaseline?
  13. Guess someone has been reading this forum. That gave me a bit of a laugh. I love the use of terms like ?desperate drug addicts? and ?leafy streets could be transformed into crime hotspots?.
  14. Surprised it wasn't here sooner to be honest.
  15. And that?s another thing. If we?re going to have an East Dulwich pet bugbear it should be something you can pronounce easily after having a few. Gennifrishashin is just hard.
  16. Now now this is a community forum not some suburban, wife swapping ring. Jeez next it?s going to be that thing with dogs going on on the common or illicit for prozac for sale on Northcross road.

    Great Gigs

I don't want to go off topic here but as a quick aside while we're on the subject of Mr Harrison: http://music.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,2178991,00.html
  18. There are some teething problems that are too be expected with new staff in a new pub. Putting ice in my whiskey when I didn?t ask for it for instance. :'( But in general the service is friendly and enthusiastic and has been improving. I think they have done pretty well. Although I would like it if there were some stools at one section of the bar but I suspect there aren?t to keep barflies like me away. You don?t work there by any chance Mikeb?
  19. As I suspected they have put on a Friday and a Saturday show. Both are sold out! I?ve not been on my toes. BUT They have now added a Monday show. Monday 12 November tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am.
  20. what with asterix (how do you pluralise that word?) in the name? Or is that not Fokken?
  21. There's a place in South Africa called Hotter's Hell.
  22. I reckon we just block it off at one end so it is no longer a through road. Either that or put some bollards up that only small cars can get through.
  23. Chandelier
  24. Hmmm. It is a tricky one. On the one hand: It is imperative that many many Christmas parties are had every year and that they all have re-used bunting, free sandwiches and paper hats. One must attend as many as possible and fall asleep on trains wearing your paper hat. It is that wonderful time of year where we get to witness embarrassing behavior from colleagues who otherwise ?don?t really drink that much?. And let?s face it, who doesn?t enjoy a bit of inappropriate nudity or a punch-up involving Margaret in accounts and Neville from the post room? On the other hand: You don?t want to have all those other celebrations leading up to Christmas to be belittled. Let us not forget glorious cause for celebration which we are privileged to have once a week known as Friday.

Well they are just a bunch of suntanned Poms. ;-)
