  1. Do they have any stuff that could be used to fix a swimming pool filter? That would have been the most useful expenditure for this leisure centre.
  2. Give over Lee. Seeing young people enjoying the local amenities is one of the things that makes life great around here. We're in the middle of London, not some leafy village in the arse end of nowhere. If it's too much for you, maybe move to SW1 or a sheltered housing estate in a boring shire county.
  3. They all charge the same though. None of them are "cut" price.
  4. Amazing clean up job done too. You wouldn't know this had happened if you walked past today. All credit to Veolia for doing what they do best I suppose!!!
  5. "God's Gift" shop, I guess, which is next to Dulwich Tandoori (the old French House) I've seen some work going on in there recently, although the Landlord's phone number is still up in the window for all enquiries.
  6. None of them are ever likely to live in this development though.
  7. The wood they are made of looks rotten though. They look derelict, like they are about to fall to pieces. They've also been graffitied. A terrible eyesore.
  8. Has this planning permission has now lapsed without a spade hitting the ground?
  9. My suspicion is they will drop the 53 affordable family homes once they have planning and will apply instead to add another student block there. No one wants to bring their family up on hit site of student halls of residence. I would expect them to be completely unmarketable and would not be at all surprised if an amendment is put after this is granted planning permission tomorrow.
  10. Well done James, and Robin. A lasting legacy that makes the area look special many years later and will do so for many years to come. Unlike the ridiculous rotten street furniture and planters the current lot put in. I wish we still had sensible and forward thinking councillors like both of you.
  11. That’s an interesting map! The houses on the north of East Dulwich grove next to greendale look like they would have been typical Victorian terraces at that point.
  12. It's all part of the ED Charter school.
  13. There are lots dotted about the area. They all look splendid. Nice to see bees buzzing about them too, collecting pollen. Good signs of spring and summer to come.
  14. Could just be a bored parent whose kids have flown the nest Rockets? There have been quite a few lifestyle businesses like that over the years.
  15. The Dulwich Fox too. Get a bit of exercise in walking up Green Dale to get there and feel smug thst you have earned your cheap cheap delicious pint.
  16. These aren't the battles of others. People who live here (not you, FFS), like the businesses we have. We want them to thrive. We want them to be able to hire staff who can afford to come to work here. We don't want to have the prices increased in our local shops to fund pay hikes to cover the cost of capricious tax hikes imposed by a greedy dishonest council. As a community issues that affect one group of people who live or work here, affect all of the people who live and work here, so their battles are our battles. The one person in this conversation who is fighting a battle that is not theirs is you, Malumbu. You don't live here, you don't work here and you have no business in this discussion.
  17. Children playing in thier garden on a sunny Saturday is a lovely thing. Much better than them sitting in front of a tv or phone all day or sitting in the park taking drugs.
  18. It was for people with babies under one year old. Looks like it's been canned altogether after next week. What a shame. https://www.picturehouses.com/event-details/0000000008/watch-with-baby/100
  19. What kind of awful Mary Whitehouse worshipping sadsack would report this to the council ffs. If you don't want ypur child to be in the cinema when there is an 18 movie on, just don't go. There's no need to spoil everyone else's fun.
  20. Victus and Bobo had a hand written sign on the door advertising Two pints and a pack of crisps for £10. Seems v good value! On north cross road yesterday I saw some blokes wheeling F45 branded exercise bikes into the newly refurbished shop that used to be a mini cab office.
  21. What are the wider benefits ?
