  1. I think the only way Argos will move into DKH Sainsbury's is if the Peckham Argos closed. But can't see that happening as it's always busy. The Click & Collect at Sainsbury's Forest Hill is useful though.
  2. I'm in the new Dulwich Wood Ward, which takes up the majority of the current College Ward, however we lost a Councillor, so will have two votes.
  3. At least the roadworks at Goose Green will be complete on Friday. However, Dartmouth Road in Forest Hill has been closed since Jan 29th with only tarmac needing to be laid before it can reopen. It was supposed to reopen tomorrow (Apr 19), but has been put back week after week when it was supposed to reopen in March. A farcical situation.
  4. Diversion signs have already gone up, which suggest the diversion will be different this time. From Lordship Lane, Barry Road to Underhill Road this time round.
  5. Changes include: West Croydon trains will be diverted to Caterham, which will call at East Croydon. Peaks to Selhurst as now. All peak trains to and from London Bridge.

Is there any strategy in place to deal with > the extra number of commuters then? The Elizabeth line opens in December. Incidentally Thameslink trains are going up to 4tph from May. Two between Blackfriars and Sevenoaks and two between Kentish Town (Luton peaks) to Orpington.
  7. UHF frequencies 55 and 56 are being removed in 2020. This is so frequencies can be used for mobile broadband to improve coverage. What will happen is that the temp HD mutliplexes will close, but there's no confirmation if we'll all have to upgrade to DVB-T2, the standard used for HD tv on Freeview. This would enable the current Freeview channels which broadcast currently in DVB-T to broadcast alongside HD channels using existing multiplexes. However if this happens, you'll require a TV or Freeview box that can receive the current HD channels.
  8. The side roads would have be tested for suitability for the buses used, along with route learning for the drivers. Using the main road ensures that the buses can be kept to as close to the route as possible without any major delays, but I emphasise with Underhill Road residents who have been without their bus route for a month.
  9. The road has reopened but buses are still on diversion.

  11. It's supposed to reopen on Thursday evening, can't see it happening.

As mentioned on this thread, the services they offer such as Paypoint for example is offered by other shops on the Lane including the ED Local and Co-Op. It's fair to say that M&S has had an impact on Londis.
  13. The point I was trying to make was with M&S catering more to the ED demographic than Londis, it's no real surprise they're off when there's other convenience stores on that stretch of LL, along with M&S and the Co-op. Sue, I think the shop on the corner of East Dulwich Road and LL isn't a Costcutter now. The other Costcutter at 395 Lordship Lane rebranded as Payless.
  14. Londis was useful (going back to the 7-Eleven days) when it was the only 24/7 shop and also open on Christmas Day, but with the other shops, especially M&S across the road, their time was up.

London Live had a short interview with Helen Hayes on the 6pm news, will post later.
  17. I saw the helicopter fly past LL while on a bus, presumably from Alleyns just after 3.30.
  18. I do my shopping in Sainsbury's on Saturday afternoons, just before matchtime. The fans are the most considerate and polite supporters I've seen on matchday. Even though the queue to get in stretches to the P13 bus stop in the car park, having local football in our area shouldn't be sacrificed.
  19. DH and PR should be under the control of TfL. This would guarantee sufficient staffing of the station until the final train. Compare Forest Hill, which is run by TfL and the farcical situation at DH and PR and it's plain to see why the current operator isn't suitable.

Anerley and Penge West, also run by TfL don't have gates, I think Wandsworth Road doesn't have them either, along with Clapham HS.
  22. So are we looking at Cllr John buying the stadium from Meadow, then selling it for a loss to Legacy like they did with the Heygate Estate?
  23. I was on the P13 and he picked up passengers at the Melbourne Grove stop outside Harris Primary and dropped off passengers at Crystal Palace Road and Overhill Road stops.
