  1. I am really loving Tim Dowling's column in the Saturday Guardian now - and I really thought no one could measure up to Jon Ronson here.
  2. Isn't it time to have another curry vote? I am getting tired of seeing Surma (?) trading on their best curry in ED according to the EDF. I have a feeling its a bit out of date.
  3. In a similar vein...does SE22 mag still exist?
  4. Just read Bob's message. Maybe SMG did mean that. OOPS.
  5. Just read Sean's message there, and was thinking "Candles? " - ?? thinking he was talking about all the fancy knick knack shops down LL closing down. OOPS!
  6. Do you remember someone did a post with a smiley snorting cocaine? I have been looking for the post but can't find it - wanted to copy the smile to a mate. Help anyone??
  7. Hi all, Further to my initial thread about the pigeon problems - I persuaded my meighbour to stop feeding them....and i am pleased to report.....THEY'VE GONE! HURRAH!
  8. Pierre - why don't you try doing something with chilli?
  9. Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Gawd, it was only 6.30pm. Yes, but being forced to listen to other peoples music is intrusive unfortunately. Also since I couldn't work out the location of the music I couldn't do anything about it.
  10. I am so hacked off with DCameron for appropriating my interests. First he likes the Jam, and now he's claiming to love Graham Greene. What next snoozing and eating cakes. B8stard!
  11. Well it quietened down not long afterwards - but God it was annoying. Hate listening to other people's racket in the garden. The weekdays are sheer bliss it must be said.
  12. Hi All, Can anyone in the vicinity of Upland/Dunstans/Goodrich Rd hear either music or a "performer" of some kind? Would like to locate it so I can get them to turn it down a notch. It's quite intrusive,

What's the point of giving them a 20k bonus though out of govt funds? Why can't they just be interviewed by the Daily Mail or going on Strictly Come Dancing or something if they want more money.
  14. Check this out peeps - I had always thought (until now) that Benjamity's post was a spoof: http://www.pigeonstop.co.uk/default.asp?page=shopproduct&productid=Decoy%20Prowler%20Owl Can't imagine it working in Trafalgar Square - although I understand they have a hawk - lucky things!
  15. I am still having the bleedin' pigeon problems. God I hate them. To add to the problem my next door neighbour has started feeding them. FFS! I have just been on the web trawling for pigeon pest control items - like spikes you attach to your roof, and some kind of gel stuff, that makes it tricky for them to land. I was wondering if anyone knows if this stuff works. I am going to get Mr WQ to go round there and sweet talk the old lady - we don't want to jeapordise our supply of plums/berries/rhubarb etc., oh and neighbourliness, most important. Tricky situation.

Urggh! The veggie mains in there are not great, alto' the mezzes are OK.
  17. Hi All, Last week my setpal box bought the farm, which was quite annoying as it was only 4 years old. (That's what I would refer to as "fairly new" by the way.) By mere fluke someone mentioned to me yesterday that the maker of this very same box (setpal), has been doing some twiddling, which makes the boxes not work anymore. End of story . Buy a new box. Apparantly this is affecting thousands of people, and can only be avoided if you haven't rescanned your channel line up. (Unlikely since you are given this option every time you switch on). I am gobsmacked! So if you have a setpal...be warned!
  18. Thanks peeps!
  19. Me! I've finished my dreaded Open University course with a distinction. 'RAAAAAAAAAY! Also on finally getting to my landmark 500th post.
