    Shameless

Is it just my imagination, or is Frank looking a bit less rough in this series?
  2. They are brill these. They are held in high esteem in the Quinnie household - however, I would not countenance going out on the pull in them. 3. Yes it is - hence nickname - the battleship. I can't link to googlemaps - but... it is in the grey area, boundaried (is that a word?) by Dunstans Rd. and Overhill Rd. Donkey Alley is to the left on GMaps.
  4. I knew I was ahead of my time. In The Measure in The Guardian today, The bodysuit is listed as being back in. I knew I shouldn't have listened to you!

  6. Any fab Xmas illuminations locally, anyone would like to share with us all? There is an interesting "installation" on Friern Rd. near the junction with Goodrich Road.
  7. Hi all. Just wanted to share with you... My dearest mama got me.....a towel. Given that she gave my brother in law 2 jumpers, and some aftershave, I thought that...slightly inequitable - esp. as I was the one busting my hump providing a gluten free Xmas lunch! I know it's the thought that counts. By the way, I am not that bothered/outraged - I think it is funny!
  8. He's certainly Santa in the north of Ireland.
  9. Got my baby sister to stay at the moment....anyways to cut a long story short, she has a skin tag on the edge of her eyelid (in the position of where you might get a stye). Question is, does anyone have any ideas how to remove it? We've tried tying it up with cotton but we are finding it too tricky.

  12. Bit of context here: He swore because the Labour MP was taking him to task for supporting a budget that cut payments to the poor, a measure which he admitted was unfair, but was going to vote for anyway.
  13. I heard (on here I seem to recall), that it was going to re-open as a South Indian restaurant somehow linked to the owners of The Cheese Block/SMBS.
  14. Paul Newman eating all those eggs in Cool Hand Luke. Always makes me shift around a bit, that.
  15. Omelette anyone?

  17. Last time me and hubby got a black cab from o2 to East Duwlcih was last autumn and it cost twenty five quid!!
  18. What's with everyone picking JD?? It's right down there with Southern Comfort for me. Bleurgh!
  19. Oh I am a big fan of Panino d'oro as well. Just wish it was open on Sundays.

  21. Regarding a vegetarian restaurant - I used to always think that as well. I'd love that but I'd settle for any of the existing establishments (esp the gastropubs/Franklins/Palmerstons) giving less hackneyed veggie options. I am seriously bored with a) veggie risotto, b) anything with goats cheese and c) penne anything.
  22. Got to say...I was kind of looking forward to this, but I thought it was a bit cliched. Esp. all that stuff about the love interest. Bleurgh. Disappointed with this one. Although, to be fair, it probably is better than the Xfactor.
  23. I am pretty much with Sean on this one....unless any of the party is vegetarian, then I'd say "Definitely DON'T travel from North London to eat in Frankstons or The Palmerston."
