Next EDF Drinks - This Friday - 9th Apr - at The Clockhouse

Recommended Posts

oh no I had said to myself that I was def going to come to the next drinks as Ive never actually made it along yet(hubby works eve's and problems with babysitters!)but we have family nearby now who can sit for us but I am away on the 9th! hope to meet you all at the next ones.

Moving to Surrey; shifting boxes, trapping fingers, sweating profusely, builder's bum, back ache, dismantling furniture, reassembling furniture (in the wrong room), pizza eaten off the top of a paacking crate washed down with a coke. That is not boring, MP.

Now living in Surrey....

I'll see what I can do*. I'll have been a full time dad for five whole days at that point....yaaaaaaay.

*re turning up fiiiinally. A crate full of coke goes without saying obviously.

Talking of off strip venues, there's this lovely little 'spot' down greendale way....

Thankfully they don't have a telly in the Clockhouse. Golf is a game played by men with small balls and ridiculous trousers.

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
