my 'richard littlejohn' comment wasn't calling you a cnut alan, it was meant to point out that your statement was a 'why-oh-why' generalisation about the bbc, as you would see in any right wing publication.

if you're calling me a cnut in return i would ask that you edit your post please.

I thought the Littlejohn jibe was light-hearted (and obviously wrong)

Calling someone Clarkson - that was more of a reaction I thought

But I thought it was all banter and don't think either of you actually meant it in a derogatory way so come on, shake hands and let's be done with it

Ghandi

and I've been called worse wee quinnie - forums are like that unfortunately. It;s one of the reasons I always try to attend drink ups - when people know each other face to face the ability to hide behind an anonymous identity and call names is removed

Of course the other reason I go is the beer ;-)

Then again - if someone did call me Richard Littljohn..... I may not be so magnanimous

Sean - but if someone called you Little Richard John - you might be more forgiving. Politeness, good manners, general jollies all round, shouldn't that be the order of the day for the grown ups on the forum? Basically I'd say if you are tempted to call a specific person a c**t, go and have a cup of tea, or a G & T and don't bother posting.

    • Electrical work can be dangerous, and hiring an unqualified individual can put you and your family at risk. and negate your insurance. A qualified electrician has the training and experience to safely handle any electrical issues, reducing the likelihood of accidents or injuries. With the exception of simple tasks, it is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to perform electrical work. Hiring a qualified electrician ensures that the work is done in compliance with local laws and building codes. Some electricians are being recommended on EDF but here is no indication that they registered with NICEIC or NAPIT.  One is well advised to steer clear of Check-a-Trade which is a marketing service funded by subscription.
    • Didn’t they have a very ‘unusual’ way of allocating council housing which was also criticised in that report and which hopefully has now been changed
