Swapping stickers on the records in WH Smith, in order to ensure 'value for money'. I did take a boat once with some friends whilst very drunk. We returned it to (roughly) the same spot we'd found it at the end of the night though and (by no small miracle), in undamaged condition. I wouldn't say we were law abiding, but we generally didn't nick stuff.

Delightedly rushing home, aged ten or so, when a Macfisheries (what happened to them?) cashier accidentally gave me a ?20 note instead of a fiver in change when running errands. Unfortunately my criminal career shuddered to a halt when I was silly enough to tell my mother, who made me not only go back and return it but personally apologise to the cashier. I always check my change assiduously nowadays, which makes cashiers think I'm suspicious of them, but in fact I'm checking they haven't shortchanged themselves. Shows what an early influence can do...

I was working in a large department store on Saturdays and there was a particular expensive item that cost exactly ?5. It was very busy and twice (because that's all I sold, the item being very expensive for the time) people gave me the exact ?5 and left without the receipt, so I trousered the money.....the company is still in business so I suppose I didn't harm it long term. AND they were slave drivers...

I can't actually remember ever stealing anything material. I was though a co-conspirator with a friend when he kneeled down as if to tie his lace and broke a little capsule which contained a stink bomb in Quinnsworth.

Obviously none of you realise how many Our Fathers or Hail Mary?s you might get as a sentence once you confessed to your crime.

Bloody pagans....

A friend's owned a corner shop which gave money back on empty bottles, so she used to pass the bottles from the back yard over the wall to us and we'd go and collect money on bottles that had already been redeemed - then we spend it all on sweets from that shop anyway so I guess it was a redistribution rather than an actual theft.

    • Kam was with us last week to wallpaper a bedroom. He was a pleasure to deal with and did a fantastic job - very neat and matched the tricky pattern very well. Would certainly use again.
    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661
    • Sadly, but not unreasonably, councils find it difficult to justify such expenditure on their current budgets. My family, which does like fireworks have been enjoying the displays by those still with disposable wealth by viewing them from Hilly Fields. Other hills (Dawson Heights) are available. For children who have autumn and winter birthdays, a firework display is some consolation for their birthday climate. My grandchildren, being summer babies, can enjoy garden parties and picnics. Without the need for explosions and dazzling display.
