Yep, that's the one.Yep that one.I may be wrong but I am picking up on a certain undertone or sarcasm, obviously I may be wrong, in which case I apologise. However, do bare in mind that people's enthusiasm for the actual playground may not be too high based on it not actually being fully open yet? And no indication a to when. Moos
No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I find it sad. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11983-vandalism-of-new-playground-at-goose-green/page/3/#findComment-342812 Share on other sites
KidKruger
Well I think it's probably this (and others too) forum rather than the 'world at large' Moos.Fair point steve, my nippers have been playng 'around' the cordened off areas for months, wondering when they would get to have full use. I think it's a bit of a shame and a tease on the kids to not get in and JFDI quickly.Crap British work ethic. stevebailey
KKNot to be non-PC here, and I may be wrong, but from what I've heard/read regarding the funding et all of the revamp, someone somewhere has paid ?800,000 for the renovations, when at best I've seen 3 guys digging around, sweeping up debris and throwing it into the grass and generally just living in the middle of the park in the caravan they brought with them.Strangely reminiscent of the guys that got nicked re-paving my old neighbours driveway a fair few years back. Mark
You are wrong, it isn't ?800,000 for the revamp. I believe it's around the ?240,000 mark and that's for when it's fully finished ie with additional kiddie swings and a other things, not its current state. It's been delayed for 'elf and safety reasons, the inspector needs a few changes made before he can pass it. Ted Max
Mark, I heard it's ?240,000 for the playground, and a ?560,000 vandalism and repairs budget.(Seriously, though. 240 big ones? Bloody hell) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11983-vandalism-of-new-playground-at-goose-green/page/3/#findComment-342926 Share on other sites

taper
Seems half the new playground is shut again. Anyone know why this is? malleymoo
Again ? Asfar as I can workout from the other thread it has never properly opened such a shame given the effort put in by fogg to get the revamp the time this has taken for work to be "completed" makes my blood boil Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11983-vandalism-of-new-playground-at-goose-green/page/3/#findComment-344804 Share on other sites
Easties EL
In Iran, they hangs the kids who commit such crimes. Now, what's more harsh? taper
Ah right, I assumed the towers/wooden bit had been opened. One man with a wheelbarrow working on it periodically yesterday. A big group of kids from Goose Green Primary were there having a summer picnic and all they could do was peer at the wooden towers through a fence.
