I'm not convinced Liverpool will be fighting for top spot, hope I'm wrong, but unless Torres strikes up an amazing partnership with Kuyt very quickly, it's just not going to happen.... Yet!

I think Man U will be better than last season, and will win again. I think it will be close between Liverpool and Chelsea for 2nd and third, and equally close between Spurs and Arsenal for 4th....

Man U

Liverpool

Chelsea

Arsenal...

Of course on the last day of the season we'll all be amazed that we lost out to Everton *shudder*, Villa and Blackburn for the champs league spots! :-S

Enough of this Premiership malarky.

We all know the real football is played in the lower divisions. As a Leeds fan (*stop laughing at the back*) I am very mcuh looking forward to watching the likes of Heath, Prutton and Beckford on away trips to Leyton Orient, Millwall and Southend. The skill, the passion, the blood, sweat and.....

....oh god just shoot me now and get it over with. I've had enough pain as a Leeds fan over the past five years without this crap!

Leeds United! Oh you poor man...you have my deepest sympathy. God! it must be tough. I have an ex-girlfriend who was a Leeds fan and it's very sad to see such a big club, although hated by so many in the Don Revie days, go into what would look like almost terminal decline.

>>Yes, that potential 15 point deficit is extremely harsh.<<

As a Sheffield United supporter I have always hated Leeds United with a deep passion, exceeded only that held for Sheffield W*dn*sd*y, but on the subject of this 15 point deduction I heartily agree - it is much too harsh. But the scale of the punishment was inevitable given that Leeds is a northern club - a London one would just have been given a derisioy fine of course...

:X

So you think you're a football pundit do you? I've set up the EDF Fantasy League so you can prove it. Instructions below:

Keef's CPT Allstars :-S

I always tend to forget about them and never make any changes, so doubt I'll do very well. The only one I get in to is the monthly chanel 4 game that a bunch of us have been doing for about 3 years now. Annoyngly the same bloke has won every yar, so we're all determined to beat him!

OK, I have joined as I had a team in a separate league anyway!

As for this coming season. It's Manure for the title, then Chelski, Liverpool and Arsenal in that order. That's a given almost. The more interesting competition is of course for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th!

Spurs will be there and I think they are the only definite. Man C have spent but this has been based on videos of players, for instance they bought Giovanni on the basis of a video of a game against Havant and Waterlooville or Bournemouth. Bolton will not be as triky as last year. Newcastle always under achieve and it will be fun to see them do the same this season.

Wet Sham? Maybe, maybe not. Blackburn - lets hope they cease to exist somehow this season. Boro? Going down I hope.

Everton will probably be there unless they get docked points for third party owenrship of Manuel Fernandes (A deal that even H Redknapp said he would not touch with a barge pole). Reading will fade away to nothing this season as will Fulham and the three that come up will go back down (probably by September!)

My bet for the 5-8 places are Tottenham, Everton, Portsmouth and Blackburn (sadly). This is the real competition in the premiership.

Anyone else care to speculate?

Oh yeah, and Southampton will get relegated from the Championship!

    • He did mention it's share of freehold, I’d be very cautious with that. It can turn into a nightmare if relationships with neighbours break down. My brother had a share of freehold in a flat in West Hampstead, and when he needed to sell, the neighbour refused to sign the transfer of the freehold. What followed was over two years of legal battles, spiralling costs and constant stress. He lost several potential buyers, and the whole sale fell through just as he got a job offer in another city. It was a complete disaster. The neighbour was stubborn and uncooperative, doing everything they could to delay the process. It ended in legal deadlock, and there was very little anyone could do without their cooperation. At that point, the TA6 form becomes the least of your worries; it’s the TR1 form that matters. Without the other freeholder’s signature on that, you’re stuck. After seeing what my brother went through, I’d never touch a share of freehold again. When things go wrong, they can go really wrong. If you have a share of freehold, you need a respectful and reasonable relationship with the others involved; otherwise, it can be costly, stressful and exhausting. Sounds like these neighbours can’t be reasoned with. There’s really no coming back from something like this unless they genuinely apologise and replace the trees and plants they ruined. One small consolation is that people who behave like this are usually miserable behind closed doors. If they were truly happy, they’d just get on with their lives instead of trying to make other people’s lives difficult. And the irony is, they’re being incredibly short-sighted. This kind of behaviour almost always backfires.
    • I had some time with him recently at the local neighbourhood forum and actually was pretty impressed by him, I think he's come a long way.
    • I cook at home - almost 95% of what we eat at home is cooked from scratch.  But eating out is more than just having dinner, it is socialising and doing something different. Also, sometimes it is nice to pay someone else to cook and clear up.
    • Yup Juan is amazing (and his partner can't remember her name!). Highly recommend the wine tastings.  Won't be going to the new chain.
