Definitely flabbergasated at the end of the episode. Apparently I was holding my breath waiting. I loved the first and third, second was a bit random really. Just a filler, but it could have been a better filler. And after London cabbies, I wasn't expecting some Chinese themed episode.

I love Sherlock and I don't care about his make up (I loved Jeremy Brett too - I had often walked down these streets before, but the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before).

But it's like the end of a Batman episode from the 60s - how's he going to get out of that one? I can't wait for the next series - when is it and will it be longer?

Well, I didn't, I must say. I thought he was just another instrument of torture for Sherlock to apply to the hapless mortician.

I still haevn't quite got over the shock of a 3-part series that ends on a cliffhanger. I hope it comes back soon. Do you think we'll get to meet Irene Adler?

Who would make a good Irene? She'd need to be cerebral and sinister, but very sensuous and beautiful.

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
