Ay tis.

?7 entry. Cheap beer at the bar, where you can now finish your half time pint at your own pace looking down out the windows, pretending you're in the corporate box (when it's really really cold, it's difficult to leave).

Comedy football with outbursts of quality.

Usually get some handbags too.

Occasionally surreal scenes like the time half the pitch was off limits due to a particularly territorial Canadian Goose.

All the fun of the fair really.

First home game is the 21st I think.

there's a thread about it here from last season. The first game I went to saw three red cards and a knock out, another one the Hamlets were 3-0 down and came back to win 4-3 in a last minute clincher and in another the linesman was stretchered off. I believe they're having to start with a fresh new squad this season as last year's manager Wayne "Oi Ref! Oi Ref! Oi Ref! Fu*k off" Barnet has taken last season's squad with him to Fischer Athletic.

So yes, a good day out.

I haven't been to see them since I was a kid but if anyone on here fancies meeting up one Saturday to watch a match there and support our local team I'd certainly give it some consideration. Mind you the colour and style of their kit is a lot to be desired.

The ground is actually in SE5. That's Camberwell.

Sorry to be a pedant, but the postcode for the ground is SE22 8BD, so that makes it an East Dulwich club in my book.

They played pretty well on Tuesday given it's almost an entirely new team - they should have scored more.

Next match at Champion Hill is on Saturday at 3.00 v. Worthing

    • What is the reason for the change in name? Just curious.
    • Why change it?  You’ve got a fantastic historic, memorable name and you want to change it for something innocuous,  meaningless and empty
    • From the school newsletter:   A New Name for Dog Kennel Hill As you know we have been discussing and consulting with stakeholders about a  name change at DKH for a while. Following engagement with staff, pupils and  families, we gathered all views on a name change for the school and after  careful consideration of the feedback, the Local Committee and the Trust have  agreed with changing the school name to Grove Primary School from  September 2025.  Over the next few months we will begin a gradual process of changing our  name on signage, our website and emails etc. We will keep you updated.  We will be looking at designing a new logo to match the new school name and  will be working closely with a graphic designer to get creative. The school  council will be actively involved in this process. We will share the results with  you as soon as a design has been agreed and confirmed. We will be creating a  new school jumper to replace the old one, once the logo has been finalised. We  will phase this in over time.  We know that this is a welcoming change for some and that there are  parents and children who will be sad about the change. However, as a school  we think it will be a positive change for our school community and we will  work together to ensure that the ethos and culture of DKH will remain!
