Techinically, I'm deriding the British media and it's fawning attitude to said monarchy, not the monarchy itself (not on this thread anyway)

Good luck to the pair involved but it's just going to be endless, godawful coverage

The news channels are reporting how other news channels are covering this... and there is 9 months left!

I share your concern Sean and quite frankly who gives a flying f*ck these days? Plenty do I'm afraid. Unfortunately a royal wedding sells newspapers and the media will of course be full of it. I suppose it will get the X-Factor off the front pages of the red tops if nothing else but you don't have to buy it or watch it if even listen to it on the radio. Try the off button.

But Will We Get The Day Off?

Last time this happened I was at sea - and very happy to be on a long long patrol. When "she" died I had to go to deepest, darkest Wales to avoid the media coverage of the funeral.

It's going to be a long long 9 months San, you're right - and nowhere to hide.

Awwwwwww come on! Dead posh frock? Heads of state in groovy get ups? Hats the like of which we shall never see again? Land of Hope and Glory, flag waving, bunting? Shiny smiling faces of patriots lining Pall Mall? SPECIAL EDITION STAMPS?!

People of EDF, get with the spirit!

I for one and BESIDE myself with excitement.

You reckon? I think she's a much more natural beauty than her mum-in-law-to-be-that-was. She doesn't need a nose job, for a start.

At least William, unlike Charles, got to choose the woman he marries.

    • I agree there are other options, but apart from cutting off bits of the body, which is probably not going to happen here, at least hopefully not in my lifetime, I wouldn't call them"stricter"! Unfortunately ultimately it may depend on what is cost effective in terms of implementation.
    • This year it was Pfizer. Last year was Moderna and I was quite  ill after it for the first time. I think last year was the only time I have had Moderna, but the illness may have been nothing to do with what kind of jab it was, I don't know. I have no idea whether everyone gets the same one in any particular year, but I'm sure someone else on here will know!
    • Thanks for posting this JMK we have had 3 children at Charter East so have been involved with the school from the very early days and have watched the impact of inconsistent, unsupportive and at worst unprofessional and biased management on them over the years. Individual teachers have at times been great and as JMK says it is the overall structure that creates a toxic and punitive atmosphere which directly impacts some families more than others and these are the kids overwhelmingly that have an SEN.  The experience of these families is night and day compared with the families with children that can cope in this system.
    • Another recommendation for Lukasz, he sorted out our bifold door. He came at the agreed time, found the issue very quickly, adjusted it, all very carefully and with attention to detail. And he was very reasonably priced as well.
