Half and half Keef. She never went nude, but if you tapped in the correct code whilst she was standing by the pool she'd change colour. She 'appeared' to be naked but the developers had excercised some restraint in that you didn't see nipples or a big hairy clopper.

Just to say how good arma II is again.

Absurdly immersive, just look at the graphics, listen to the sounds. You can even get a little add in that t

tracks your head movements so you can look around as you run drive or fly.

You can basically be, drive or fly everything you see (yes even the chicken or goat).

First film is a slghtly pretentious short but shows off the engine very well. Second was a scenario put together using the editor in about five minutes showing off just how vast it can be (the playing area is 200 sq miles).

Anyway, enjoy if you like that kind of thing (I know sean doesn't)

That can actually happen? I mean I believe you but just didn't realise the DVD drive lasers were powerful enough to do that :(

Will be getting it myself at some point, played the demo a couple of times and like the look of it.

Arma II looks awesome too, think my laptop will snuff it if I try to play it though....I miss my gaming rig *sigh*

Hasn't happened to me but I have heard told that about lasers so I have my 360 well out of reach

I'll probably be picking up Arkham Asylum at some point but I'd forgotten ODST was out yesterday and I really fancy teaming up with some people for a FireFight (think Horde mode in GoW2) session if anyone is up for it

Have people given up on Trials HD?

Was watching the trailers for ODST yesterday, the one where they use actors (ie not CGI peoples)is quite impressive, sorta what a Halo movie would be like I guess. Does look good, too many games to little time :(

I still have a go at Trails every now and then, then I get annoyed at it and leave it for a few days.

Edit: This is the one I was on about.

I've a brand new quad core system with 6 gig of fast ram and a low to mid range card thinking I wasn't really going to do gaming, and lo first game I do buy makes me start looking for a proper graphics card as it's really struggling with textures.

When you look at the side of the game box and it recommends a quad core just to play the damn thing you k ow it's goin to hurt.

ODST looks cool. Haven't given up on trials just not had much time of late and what little I have has been ARMA led. Just surviving getting across town alive is hard, arcade shooter this isn't.

I played Tim Schaefer's latest - Brutal Legend - demo yesterday

Beautiful, beautiful menu system, where every action is displayed as someone looking at a gatefold album sleeve. Done with real affection

The game itself is yer 3rd person hack-em-up a la Devil May Cry or God of War but with some very good voice-acting and a decent (if very silly script) - echoes of his earlier Day of the Tentacle

    • Our camera caught two folks doing this. One of them led me to believe the delivery driver was in on it as he left the package in a very odd place that the thief (who arrived about 10 minutes after from a direction where he could not have seen where the driver left it) went straight to it and took it - but he then dumped it halfway down the next road as clearly packets of freeze-dried food for a DofE award wasn't to his liking (karma sucks!). The second time a guy pulled his bike up in broad daylight, walked down to our door, opened the box, threw the empty box down and stuffed what he had found in his backpack and brazenly waved at the camera and then cycled off. Police asked us to upload his picture but we never heard anything back.
    • I hear that Landells Road has had a spate of parcels being taken,
    • In the 1960s my husband went to a private day school, Although he was a bright child having won a couple of scholarships to other private schools, his father chose this particular one. He went from 11 - 14 years and left as unhappy with the set up which was based on ethnicity. All boys with both parents English were placed in the A stream regardless of academic ability, Boys with an Irish background were placed in B stream. All others were C streamed - this included boys with a Black or Asian  background, mixed race or mixed European background. His schooldays came to an end when he wished to learn Latin and he was told that no boy in C stream could participate in this subject. His father (not English) was very upset at this and withdrew him from the school and sent him  to a country boarding school.  The experiences he had with his schooling culminated in a breakdown of his mental health and several months in Maudsley. He had low self esteem and it took several decades for him to understand that it was the school system and not his ability which had failed him
    • Actually, one of the reasons Sylvester Road was closed was that the space available as more and more parcels were part of the mix was insufficient (and the facilities were primitive). And that was before Covid when parcel delivery numbers soared. Sylvester Road as it existed then would not have coped, probably (and the move to Peckham, when Covid arrived, showed that that wasn't sufficient either!).
