Doesn't seem to be a problem in ED, if you're famous and someone takes a dislike to you - whether they know you or not - you've had it. So, which famous person gets your goat up? (Sounds positively rude).

Now that's recognition.

Fantastic. He can annoy the whole universe. Classic.

I went through a stage of thinking it was funny to ask famous people to give me a nosh. I met Shane Ritchie in a bar and drunkenly went over, face open and smiling and said hello. He said hello back. I asked him if he'd give me a nosh. There were quite a few encounters.

I've never asked Jimmy Nesbitt for a nosh even though he was stalking me and the wife for at least a week. He followed me round Sainsburys once picking up the same produce as me just after me. Freak! Then I caught him going through my bins. That's when I called the rozzers!

Danny Baker on the radio a few years ago, said "I met that Paul McKenna once and he couldn't hypnotise me. I remind him of that every time I go round on a Friday and wash his car." How we laughed.

James Nesbitt was on the front page of Radio Times as the Jekyll Hyde character and I remember thinking - as I stained his teeth with my coffee mug stain - that boy needs to go to my nice dentist on Forest Hill Road and get his teeth straightened.

You're right. However, one thing that was REALLY ANNOYING was the way everyone kept saying things like "End of." and other cliches with the last word taken off. It really would make you want to boke.

    • Not only can he turn olive oil into Vermouth, but also water into a wine. A true miracle worker.  I wouldn't say a wine shop sells a wide variety of things - and there are two right next to each other.  And once upon a time, upmarket pizza shops were very specific. So were burritos etc. They're clearly becoming mainstream; we should consider ourselves lucky to be witnessing this exciting upward trend within our lifetimes and on OUR HIGH STREET. We can tell our grandkids that we remember when there was no internet and no empanadas.  I'm sure that if the family empanada people have a good business head, they'll be able to ride this wave of competition, just like Bruno has.
    • Very economical. Are you available for events? I've got a gathering of 5000 coming up soon. What could you knock up with two little fishes and five loaves of bread? Cod in breadcrumbs? Fish finger sandwiches? Spanish-style croquetas de bacalao with a Romesco sauce? It's BYOB for beer, so there's no need to worry about that and I've managed to do an unbelievable deal on water and wine. Drop me a DM on here or ask for Dave or Jesus (pronounced 'Hay-Zooze') in The Herne, left hand side of the bar.
