mothercourage
Just wondering if the revamped paddling pool is ready in Brockewell Park? Does anyone know as it would be a great place to go today. If not, is there anywhere similar? My kids are desperate to get involved with some water today.Cheers. vesti
We get No 40 bus to London Bridge and go in water fountains near The Scoop. Bit busy there by lunchtime today.Or - go over Waterloo bridge to Somerset House and go in water fountains there. There are loos in Somerset House - and a cafe (bit expensive) if you want a cup of tea. Get there by 10 and the place is virtually empty. We always get one of the tables and chairs. beababies
sorry for the late response, but as you've probably already found out Brockwell's new paddling pool isn't open yet and judging from all the equipment still around there opening day looks to be quite a while off unfortunately! Looks like it's going to be really nice though!Beax Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/16844-water-jet-wet-play-area-finished-in-brockwell-park/#findComment-430061 Share on other sites

womanofdulwich
i walked past it today. looks more like a beach to me, a dismal amount of water - why couldnt they leave it as a paddling pool? findandynow
Gosh - everyone's a bit downhearted! The water park is unbelievably good. It's open, it's free and the kids are having an amazing time in there. There wasn't quite enough water in there before, but they've tweaked that and there's so much for kids to do. Check it out! kittysailing
Its fantastic - rally well designed, safe and lots of fun. My 18 month year old loved the pump and the sluice gate. The stream is lovely for little ones! sparkly
totally agree - went there on Sat and my little ones absolutely loved it - a very good water/ sand play area. Also - they are putting one in at Norwood park and the Croydon road recreation ground now has a paddling pool (not as nice as Brockwell park) but also a bouncy castle!! crystal7
We went yesterday- was fab! Think it's open every day. You need to walk up the hill towards the cafe, pass the cafe then turn left down the hill and its on the left. That's assuming you're going through the main gates in Herne Hill... bluesuperted
Yes it's been open a while and is fabulous. I walk up in roughly a straight line past tennis courts from Lido. There are sign posts and it's at least a 5 min walk from there. Have fun!
