Well done Steph. Did little madamn continue this good behaviour?

If anyone is interested (some of us already did this pre-baby) my NCT mum friends who are fed up with lack of sleep are organising Nicola from child sleep solutions to do a seminar on baby sleep. I honestly think her advice helped me establish a good routine.

We all thought she was fantastic when we did seminar and my friends were hoping for some more specific information regarding establishing some sleep training. They all have had winter babies too so all information will be baby age appropriate.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining their meeting. My friend is hosting at her house right by kings college hospital and they only need a couple more people. Cost is ?20 pp providing there are enough takers and they're a lovely bunch!

P.s I think the tues 3rd is pencilled as day but they can confirm.

Hi all,

I think spots are filled.

It works out ?20pp if 7-8 people club together I think. Check out her web address I think it's www.childsleepsolutions.co.uk but you can serch forum too. Nicola- highly recommended.

Good luck in your quest for sleep!

Lovely to see you all too! Thanks for reassuring me that the sleep will get better. It can seem a bit relentless at times, so it's good to sound off about it. We're away next week, down to Cornwall with my family, but hopefully catch up when we're back.

Sorry to miss this yet again, Daniel is finally settling into a good lunch-time sleep and didn't wake up til 2.45pm. I suspect this is going to be a habit from now on (not something I'm complaining about!) so think I'm not going to make many more, plus I'm going back to work quite soon too which would have put a stop to my coming anyway.

Anyway I would really like to keep in touch with you all, so will keep my eyes peeled for any meets that I can make. Plus if anyone fancies doing a morning thing possibly on a Friday or a Monday I'd be totally up for it!

Jane x

Great to see people today, shame you couldn't make it Jane but i'd be up for doing something on a Friday or Monday. I've seen that the Crooked Well pub in Camberwell is doing something on a Friday morning (10.30-12) where they have baby experts?! Or the Old Nun's Head have a Mum's thing on Monday mornings. Also, a few of us went swimming yesterday at Peckham Pulse, 1.30 -2pm so possibly not the best time for you but it's in the hydrotherapy pool and free with Ivydale School if you put your name on the list. Anyway - just suggestions and happy to go to a cafe or host at mine one day.

Why is it perceived, Reeves is responsible for doubling the "black hole" to £20b through the public sector pay increases. You can't live beyond your means and when you try you go bankrupt pdq. In 4 yrs time if this Govt survives that long and the country doesn't go bust before then, in 2029 I dread to think the state the country will be in.  At least Sunak and co had inflation back to 2% with unemployment being stable and not rising.
    • He seemed to me to be fully immersed in the Jeremy Corbyn ethos of the Labour Party. I dint think that (and self describing as a Marxist) would have helped much when Labour was changed under Starmer. There was a purge of people as far left as him that he was lucky to survive once in my opinion.   Stuff like this heavy endorsement of Momentum and Corbyn. It doesn't wash with a party that is in actual government.   https://labourlist.org/2020/04/forward-momentum-weve-launched-to-change-it-from-the-bottom-up/
    • I perceive the problem.simply as spending too much without first shoring up the economy.  If the government had reduced borrowing,  and as much as most hate the idea, reduced government deiartment spending (so called austerity) and not bowed to union pressures for pay rises, then encouraged businesses to grow, extra cash would have entered the coffers and at a later stage when the economy was in a stronger position rises in NI or taxes would have a lesser impact, but instead Reeves turned that on its head by increasing ni which has killed growth, increased prices and shimmied the economy.  What's worse is that the perceived 20 billion black hole has increased to 30 billion in a year. Is there a risk that after 5 years it could be as high as 70 billion ???
    • That petition is bananas.   If you want a youth centre there pay the landlord the same rent a Londis would and build it yourself or shut the f**k up to be honest. Wasting our MPs time with this trivial nonsense is appalling. If your kids are still out at 1am on a school night you've got bigger problems than vapes and booze and hot sausage rolls.
