Virtual DJ - Which 3 songs would you play to fill the dance floor?

Recommended Posts

Thank you to all of our virtual DJs. Who knew that ED was such a mecca for lovers of all things disco? So far, that seems to be the main vibe on the dance floor.

Anyone fancy any Motown, Northern Soul, Funk, New Romantic, Handbag house, Old skool hip hop, 90's big beats, Madchester baggy, Ibiza club classics, Brit Pop, Urban R n B, Indie, Rave, Electro, Pop, Drum n bass, Reggae or Ska?

You can also play the 'wrong song' joker (a la It's a Knockout) once in your playlist. This is a song that sounds so bad but feels so good. You get double points if these go down well.

You are always welcome back on the decks for another set...

Daring doesn't work to get people on the Dancefloor as they need to know the song so to a non-specialist funk/soul crowd I'd go for a sort of a compromise;

I Wish - Stevie Wonder (if you can't dance to this give up)

Money's too tight to mention - Valentine Brothers, people would obvioulsy recognise the song and realise what a load of crappy sludge Simply Red's Blue Eyed soul cover version is in comparison

Any classic by Chic - can't be faulted

A bit more specilialist i'd go

Love Injection - Trussel (Disco at its best)

Expansions - Lonnie Liston Smith (Jazz Funk at its best)

Freak of the Week - Funkadelic (Funk at its best)

If you can't manage with two musicians, what are you going to do with the 3 artist.

Number one the training at Beakfast mornings

Number two lessons by posts

and three still in the run I think.

Do you think you will sell the paints of music with cup ck m, m,m,

Somebody will need help.

    • I checked - the Hanway Street place was Mandeer - it moved to New Oxford Street and was replaced by Hakkasan - very different prices.
    • Suppose it depends on how many Christmas cards from family and friends you’re waiting to receive. It’s been the Christmas period so surely give the post delivery service some leeway. Like Sue I’ve not posted off so many this year but some I still write letters to  e.g my late mum’s cousins and other family  but hey ho that’s something I do and enjoy.  I used to hand deliver Christmas cards to a lot of neighbours on my street but gave up this year as realised that most of them I don’t see or speak to and can only count on a few to call a true friend or neighbour.
