Virtual DJ - Which 3 songs would you play to fill the dance floor?

Helena Handbasket, personally I would be on my feet for all of your playlist!

I would also have been racing to the dance floor for:

Atomic/Heart of Glass - Blondie

Good Times - Chic

Can't Get You Out of My Head - Kylie

Groove is in the Heart - Deelite

Ghost in My House - R. Dean Taylor

Show Me Love - Robin S

Fool's Gold - Stone Roses

Guns of Navarone - Skatalites

Do I Love You - Frank Wilson

Stevie Wonder - I Wish

Donna Summer - I Feel Love

Motorhead - Ace of Spades

Quite a mix of styles but I feel that variety is the spice of life when it comes to having a good time on the dance floor.

I would have sat quite a few of the slower tracks out or gone to the bar and,to be fair, I would probably have sprinted off the floor when Toploader came on too!

What's everyone else been dancing to?

So Toploader has been thrown out (due to the OP leaving if it gets played!)

In that case, I'll suggest

"Time To Pretend" & "Kids" by MGMT

"Look me in the eye sister" by Groove Armada

If they get the same response, I'll just accept the fact that I am on a totally different wave length to fellow

forumites (but probably knew that anyway!)

Aquarius Moon, I would leave my drink untouched and be back on the dance floor as soon as I heard the opening bars of 'Time to Pretend'...

I think songs with instantly recognisable intros before the main tune kicks in have a high floor-filler factor.

e.g. House of Pain - Jump Around and Deelite - Groove is in the Heart.

    • SE23 has always been known as the over spill to SE22, for those that wish but can't afford it, however look at all the benefits SE23 has to offer, as they say, the choice is yours, oh, sorry wrong show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • I highly recommend James. I had a few sets of lights (indoor and outdoor) that were no longer working. I texted him yesterday afternoon about the problematic lights, and he had fixed them all by this morning! Very happy that he investigated the issues and found fixes, rather than immediately saying I needed to replace everything, which was the standard response by others. I had other electricians (many who are recommended on this forum) that came round to inspect the work and told me I'd need to replace the lot for a substantial cost. Extremely professional and prompt with very reasonable pricing.
    • Indeed and possibly because with such an extensive wish list as stated, it will be a nigh on impossible to achieve a suitable property for that budget, outside the Village or Alleyn Park area. Even then, all wishes being equal, it would need  > £3m to get a suitable  property.  Compromise  would seem appropriate therefore , which suggests rating each "wish" in order of priority.
