Listen to the voice of the politically disaffected - interviewed on the BBC world service

[audioboo.fm]

Staggering ignorance: "...yeah it's them innit, whoever it is, it's THEIR fault". Unreal. They've trashed and stolen from a shop. And don't know why.

Solid politics there then.

I just did the 343 thing again from Borough up to Cheltenham Rd and all was quiet. Noticeable police presence in both E&C and Peckham.

Having seen a few riots now with looting etc, I'd say it won't kick off in the same places that have already been hit for the simple reason that if it was worth nicking, it would have been nicked already.

Here's a short vid of the action in Camberwell, shot an hour ago: http://www.twitvid.com/6PC5J

The way i see things is thus: i absolutely abhor what is happening in my country. But peckham, brixton and all the other places you could mention have now become a melting pot to place all immigrants. Peckham and brixton have had their problems for years, but it all seemed pretty much sorted until the local councils decided to dump every single nationality on earth on their doorsteps. I in no way condone what has happened, i deplore it. But something major has to happen and now.

Seemed to be the situation when I walked down LL about 5 mins ago too.

Does this theory hold for the various other ghettos which have seen trouble.. such as Bromley, Fulham, Ealing, Chingford, Balham, Merton, Oxford Circus and Chelsea?

    • Agreed that Niko is really good: he was helpful and explained everything in detail, and did a good job fixing the problem I had. He was also honest rather than trying to drum up a bigger (more expensive) job for himself by telling me everything needed replacing etc. He charged a very reasonable rate. Will definitely call him when I need a plumber again and would recommend!
    • Sue, Sue, Sue Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed,  However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open. Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.
    • I need to go to Asda in the Old Kent Road tomorrow. Theoretically I can get a 78 or 363 bus, but it looks as if the bus stop at East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye may be closed. I don't know why, but I assume it may be due to gas or water works. Does anybody know if it is just this bus stop, or are other bus stops (or the routes) affected?  I don't want to get a nasty surprise tomorrow, as I have an appointment, so it's time critical.
    • Hi, Have you tried reaching out to breed-specific rescue groups or shelters? Sadly, Cavapoos are one of the most exploited breeds in the UK due to their popularity, so due diligence is crucial. Cavapoos do occasionally pop up for adoption, especially puppies. TWB x
