>>SimonM...I see killgallon has gone. A big loss? Nice to see another ex-Leeds academy product in the premiership though.<<

I think so. But he is in his prime at 26 & it has been clear for ages he wanted to leave, so ?2 million 21 games before he could have gone for nothing is not bad going. He turned down both Newcastle and Burnley before agreeing to Sunderland. I take it you realise Leeds get 20% of the fee? :))

Has to be said, every time I see Gary Co*k I like him less and less. A disgrace to the club he allegedly supports.

I think just as many idiots follow Rugby it's just footy is more intense and perhaps brings rowdy behaviour quicker to the fore.

It's more to do with Rugby fans being more middle class than football fans. My wife used to live in Twickenham and got really fed up with Rugby fans weeing through her letter box

No Matthew - a much higher proportion of idiots follow football. Rugby is a bit more civilised, surely. I'm not aware that there has ever been violence between rugby fans - compared to the history of violence between football fans - surely that says it all.

I was part of a group of Moseley fans attacked by Leicester fans at the Cup Final at Twickenham as far back as 1979!! And from talking to colleagues who go to games regularly, it does seem to be creeping into fan behaviour as the game tries to attract a wider audience.

    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
    • Was anyone else disturbed last night/early hours this morning by the party going on in someone’s garden on Crystal Palace road. Can’t see what house exactly but it’s around number 43 - 41… it was happening quite frequently last year. Seems it’s starting again! Very inconsiderate.
