All I saw was a load of namby pamby choir boys in blue shirts rolling about til the Ref obliged by booking Liverpool players.

How the hell Barry was not booked for jumping on Gerrard so he could not break free down wing in first half, or Yossi was not given a penalty near the end just shows what a biased Referee was prancing around today!

City were the home team and should have shown a bit more guts going forward - but saying that typical Rafa tactics of not even trying to play football.

They had an advert up in the Vale yesterday that Chopper Harris is going to be there Wednesday night. But seeing as no Chelsea fans on this thread which ex-player of your Club (still alive and who you've never met) would you like to have a pint with an a chinwag about the good 'ol days?

For me it'd be Ian Rush and talk about the season he scored 50 goals when Liverpool won European Cup, League and League Cup treble.

Billy Bonds - immense and unbelievably uncapped by England (injured once and made the bench), most hammers apperances, lifted two Fa Cups won player of the year when he was 40 - would also like to get his views on Redknapp who was his best man but they haven's spoken since Redknapp took his job (after being his assistant).

Sorry. Is this the same comedian you spuds were all slaughtering because he couldn't catch water in a bucket a little while back. How short sighted and selective spuds memories are.

Wow, did you think that up all by yourself without any help from your mum? Feelings mutual me old mucker.

Well let's face it, it's the closest you'll get to a double.

It's nice talking to someone whose memories of silverware are even more distant then us Spurs fans (We did win the Carling cup a couple of years ago). Guess we could form a kind of support group with each other. Then again maybe not seeing as we're going to win the FA cup this year and you lot will be potless again for the sixth year running.

Never mind flower...keep your chin up.

The Couldn'tcareless cup eh? My that's an achievement. When your club has won the double, gone a season unbeaten ans won the title in the same year, gone 49 games unbeaten, beaten us in the league (when did that last happen?), got to the final of the champions league, or even qualify for same, then get back to me, til then adios amigo. End of story.

    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
    • Oh dear, hope you are OK, I've had it three times and it was worse each time, but not a patch on many of those who got it before they vac' role out. Not commenting on the discussion as I got confused many days ago beyond the reminder that Corbyn would not compromise and the harm that could lead to him, the party and regards Brexit pre and post referendum the country.  Starmer goes too far the other way at times.
    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the mental  energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to be able to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in both  my posts and other people's, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
