Narnia
Hmmmm....actually Steve McLaren might not be a bad bet. He's doing it with a small club in Holland. A big club in Scotland may be a move upwards for him! Peckhamgatecrasher
Martin O'Neill would be an interesting choice.I have a huge soft spot for Mick McCarthy. He has the foullest mouth on him but does seem to get results. ruffers
O'Neill wouldn't go there, he's still hanging in for a chance at Old Trafford isn't he? Celtic job's been up any number of times while he's been at Villa, no reason for him to go now. Mick Mac
I suspect Roy Keane may be high on the list. 16/1 decent odds on him. Larsson is very inexperienced but many would choose him. Mark Hughes or David Moyes would prob not be interested but they are high in the betting for some reason. Apparently they have been close to getting Moyes in the past. Its a big decision for the club and they need to make a better decision than last time. They have seen that a poor manager makes for a poor team and ruins revenues pdq. Martin O Neill won't go back - he did a fantastic job and second to none over the last 20 years, don't give me that strachan nonsense. matthew123
No disrespect to Celtic but I think your best bet Mick Mac is to go for an up and coming Scotsman. Many of those guys in your list would rather spend the season on the TV sofa lecturing us on the art of management than getting their boots dirty north of the border. I won't believe that we'll get that 4th spot until the last kick of the season. Though we are playing well and getting some good results at the moment there is still plenty of scope for us to slip up. titch juicy
Apparently defoe is 50/50 for today. If pav and defoe are fit, and with THUDD back in pulling the strings, I can see us mauling pompey. It's not often I get over optimistic about anything spurs do, but could see 6 or 7 being scored today. Jah Lush
I hope you're right TJ. I think Pav will be on the bench today as he's still carrying a hamstring injury and I reckon Defoe's another week away so should be Crouch and Gudjohnsen up front. matthew123
Looks like Chelsea back in the groove by hitting 7 past Villa - 12 a week! But not a good day for Arsenal and West Ham.. surely Zola will now be relieved of his duties. bon3yard
7 points now between Spurs & Liverpool and I think we're going to need that cushion giving the awful run-in we've got...not discounting Citeh either but they seem prone to fluffing their lines when it matters. matthew123
Of Spurs remaining fixtures I only see them collecting 3 points against Bolton, and 1 at Sunderland.Sunderland v TottenhamTottenham v ArsenalTottenham v ChelseaMan Utd v TottenhamTottenham v BoltonMan City v Tottenham For Liverpool what I have put in brackets Liverpool v Sunderland (3)Birmingham v Liverpool (1)Liverpool v Fulham (3)Liverpool v West Ham (3)Burnley v Liverpool (0)Liverpool v Chelsea (1)Hull v Liverpool (0) Which by my calculations means they will finish on same points as Spurs and it will be decided on goal difference, which based on number of forecast wins and defeats should mean the Reds pip Spurs.EDITED to say I forgot Spurs last game of season away at Burnley, so that makes Spurs by a margin of 3 points!
