According to reports in Mexico Celtic have signed World Cup defender Efra?n Ju?rez. According to Fifa Ju?rez currently plays right back for Puma, however his Wikipedia entry refers to him as a right winger and he has been described as part of the Golden Generation of Mexican football. He has previously been on the books of Barcelona

Juarez impressed in three World Cup matches for Mexico in South Africa and would be an interesting addition to Neil Lennon?s squad. The 22-year old defender was part of the Under-17 World Cup winning team in 2005

I think he went to Celtic as they are not required to pay compensation unlike an English club (as he is u-23). I suspect he will be there for one season then back in the PL.
