You are, of course, entitled to read it as you wish and put whatever slant you wish to put on it. But as a newcomer to your forum, I have to say your overly defensive reaction to my post suggests nothing other than paranoia.

Anyway, to curtail this before it goes any further, yes I do think that a United player should have been sent off.

Pretty poor display by Liverpool - although at 2-0 down they pulled their finger out for 15 minutes and showed what should have been.


I cannot stand Nani, I'll not make any personal comments about the guy as it will upset people who think he is an honest chap. Is Torres a cheat, well if Fergie said it then it was probably meant as a compliment... although I think he is one of the more honest players in the PL.


Great goal by Berbatov, although not seen it on TV yet, I've no doubt I shall see it repeated on Sky for many months to come...

Nani likes to dive. It doesn't make him popular with United fans and as I was saying to a Liverpool supporting colleague today if he spent more time using his skills he'd get more goals. He hasn't been that bad recently. Torres does like to try it on from time to time, be fair.


Matt, Liverpool had an excellent middle third of the game. United looked better beginning and end. It was actullay a very good game and well balanced, not dirty and one of the better of these clashes for a while.

Feel sorry for Torres at the moment.


He's getting no service except for balls hoofed over the top which he's expected to make something of. He finally gets hold of the ball, defenders shit themselves, he gets fouled, they don't get booked and the cycle starts again.

It's only early days yet. Come on give Torres a fecking chance, the guy is world class. He's had injuries and played through the World Cup when not fully fit and got injured again. He's also not had a proper break from football in three years. He's got new players around him to get used to at Liverpool and a new manager too. He'll come good again I have absolutely no doubt about that.

As for Nani's performance on Saturday, he was a cheating diving little twat. As Sandperson mentioned here if he stayed on his feet more he'd score more goals, he'd create a few more too. He has the skill so he should use it more instead of diving and trying to get other players sent off.

I'm off to White Hart Lane tonight for Spurs v Arsenal. Looks like it's going to be our kids against theirs. Looking forward to watching Sandro's debut and hopefully stuffing the Gooners into the bargain. Come on you Spurs!

I watched the Arsenal & Real Madrid games last night. Both teams played well, but I was shocked by the tatics employed by mr Redknapps charges to stop the talented lad Jack Wilshire which consisted entirely of kicking him. Shameful. Mr. Redknapp then suggested Nasri had dived or cheated for the first penalty. Given the tactics deployed by him to stop Wilshere the phrase pot and kettle is apt. For Real Ronaldo had a decent game, the technical ability of most Spanish teams is far superior to that demonstrated by English Premier teams.

      I completely agree with you . Its as if they have their foot in the door and are just pushing and pushing. It's ridiculous. It's not the right space. they clearly do not give any regard to the environment or they would move it.

      There's a great badminton club at the Harris girls academy. It runs Friday from 5.30 to 6.45. for more experienced players, they have sessions on Wednesday and Friday, too but that's subject to skill levels

      There seem to be all sorts of blocks for this event being mounted on the Common, one is that it was 'designed especially' for the current site, though the organisers seem to have had absolutely no problem rejigging their plans to the original site footprint to expand the event to what we had last year- which I think really imposed on a large part of the park and spoilt the feel. I would suggest pressing very hard for relocation to the Common ( also closer to transport links). There must be a way, surely? If not, then wholesale relocation to a more suitable venue. I just do not think the park should be subjected to a festival-goer footfall of 60,000 plus over the summer.

      I absolutely will. Fed up of property developments that are funded from offshore investors and price out local people. Fed up of the demise of social rents and the growing crisis of families in bed and breakfast. Fed up of young people being unable to save deposits, start families and generally have the same security of tenure that previous generations had. So yes, I will drill down into the financing, affordability, where the properties aer being advertised for sale, and how many are genuinely for social rent. Otherwise, no opposition to redeveloping that site in that way.
