I think ?35m is ridiculous, however it's a figure quoted by Sky so not necessarily fact. I imagine it's probably based on add ons, etc if true.

I'm liking the latest rumour I've heard though, which suggests that Torres asked the board to sign Carroll and then he'll stay. I've resigned myself to him going now but I'm still clinging on to any gimmer of hope.

The bullshit that has been flying around today is ridiculous.

But it does give you the choice to look at them or not and give you the chance to answer or ignore.

OMG, I tapped his name into the DHFC website and his picture came up. I've seen him play!!! End of last year!! He WAS good too. Pity he's leaving.

Thanks for that Mockers - really decent of you. x

Everyone else: carry on arguing...I'm off for a while...

Hmm, maybe you're right actually. Nothing would surprise me wih a football player's contract these days, but they tend to give the players the power, rather than doing a club any god, so perhaps it's just more wishful thinking on my part.

In that case, it'l have to be a studs up challenge from Stevie G, to take him out for the rest of the season!

In all seriousness, we're losing a great player, but with the exception of a few moments of real class, he's not exactly set the world on fire since well before the World Cup, and that's not all down to injuries. Good luck to him, but I'm excited about 2 new strikers in for Liverpool, and the likes of Babel no longer hanging around, it's made me excited about the rest of the season. Not suggesting we're going to win anything, but having had the first half of the season that we've had, seeing an improvement, with some goals, will please the fans.

    • Initially, when all the discussion took place at Bradbury some of existing building was to be demolished which meant that 3 flats would go but these residents would have to wait until new building erected to be housed. No indication has been given as to where people would be placed during building. I am glad that the tree is to remain - Bradbury residents contacted various environmental groups to lobby for tree to remain. I gather that there is likely to be a question of restricted views to be made by Wood Vale residents as 5 stories is significantly higher than current building.
