Fortunately, I work in a hospital several miles away, but I know the good people at Kings and they certainly don't deserve that.

I'll be passing the Plough on my way home about half past midnight, so I'll look out for you stumbling onto the road.

Well I had a job interview today, and apparently got pipped to it*, so I'm going to get w**kered tonight! :)-D

* I may have been crap, but he said there was nothing to worry about, and on another day would have got it.... Makes me feel loads better!

We must stop meeting like this.

It was basically the same sort of job I do now (in social services), but a bit of a better journey, and a couple of gand more... Not overly bothered, not sure it would have been good for me. Just really want to get out of my current place, been there far too long!

I just saw the amount of booze my boss has got for our work party tonight so I may be some time! If you see a Kathy Burke lookalike falling over and trying to climb in a window at the Plough, please put me out of my misery and send me home!!

I wobbled in after our office Xmas do - so decided to ease off. Good evening and merry time had by all. Last orders at 12 - why?

So I wandered home and others went on to Liquorice. I bumped into AnnaJ as I walked home, just home from the late shift at the people repairers.

I wondered if anybody would bump into Annaj on the way home..

Bren you were grand - obviously full of the good stuff but no embarrassments

I am sooooo glad I said no to Liqourice tho - today would have been a write-off. But yeah 12 o clock orders seems wrong these days

Cheers to Paul for doing the decks, Keef for a bit of the ole Piano. Good to meet monica and the others as well and a big shout (see, still down with the kids) to Joe for making a special effort to get down to the drinks as well

And didn't all you ladies look FINE last night?

If Polly is reading, say thanks to her husband as well. He took a weight off my mind at the end of the evening ;-) Cheers Matt

Sorry you holiday is coming to an end Piers but we've missed you so come back lad and lad-een

I played piano? Oh dear God, I must have been very drunk, my fingers don't work very well when I'm drunk which is why I try to avoid guitars at these times.... Piano not a good plan!

Wish I'd joined you in saying no to Liqourice, I went and straight away remembered why I hate the dump, and I left... Which in fairness was probably a good thing for me and everyone with me!

It was nice to meet you as well Sean, hopefully you all had a good evening Brendan was very sweet too, nice crowd lovely tilly trotter as well and Citizen ed looked like he was having a good old time, shame i missed the piano sing a long.

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
    • @Dulwichway Absolutely - I'm in no way trying to say that what happened was life-changing. I've encountered way worse situations and think of myself as pretty tough, which is why I took them on and got pelted. I suppose I'm just taken aback because the park always seemed so safe. But the stats I've just posted contradict that.   I suppose the one of the points of this thread is to point out that they weren't just numpty youths - I'd bet money on some of them being involved in more serious criminality. And to tell others to be vigilant.
