I have to agree, I think the girl irritates me more than her brother though, its that grin and figgityness and jumping about, drives me potty. I like Rydian at the mo although Nicki is a very good singer, opinions change each week, but they are certainly scraping the barrel at the mo.

I have two major issues with the finalists:

1) Too many acts that sound like musical theatre. Do people really want pop stars that sound like they should be singing The Phantom of the Opera? There IS a place for them... on stage. For Chrissakes.

2) Too much focus on how well they can sing and too little on how attractive they are! The dinner lady has a fantastic voice but she looks like a dinner lady. Who is going to buy her records?

SD girl has funny legs. Slightly too far apart and straight all the way down. They look like Bod's legs.

Her brother looks like a children's TV presenter on crack.

Rhydian's eyes are far too close together. Any closer and they'd be a Venn Diagram.

Leon can't sing and has to wobble his entire body to get any sort of vibrato in his voice. And he just looks a bit dirty. Like he hasn't washed properly.

But music was the real winner.

I quite liked Same Difference. Watching a woman that could out-camp most Gay men was a sort of pleasure. Not sure there was any jiggy jiggy going on, it doesn't really bare thinging about.

Rhydian was a bit of a freak, but at least had some prescence, in a sort of sub-Liberace meets Evangelist Preacher way.

Leon just seemed malnourished. Surely, there is something the make-up crew could have done with those shadows under his eyes.

    • Large supermarkets, the big shop, not relying on mum getting the bus into town, longer opening hours, end of price controls and other restrictions.  All affected the high street well before the internet.   Rye Lane is still pretty buzzy.  Loads of independent shops.  Modern life is not always rubbish
    • Don't know about Lordship Lane, but Rye Lane 50 years ago would be four deep on the pavement on a Saturday, not no more then.  Amazon and the supermarket home delivery services have one heck of a lot to answer for. Stop using them, get back to the shops before the choice becomes so limited. In fact, do one thing, ditch using Amazon.
    • Adding a recommendation for Andy, who just did a job for us hanging heavy mirrors and pictures in our house. He gave a clear and fair price, works very tidily, made sure that I was happy with the work and placement of the pictures and is very pleasant to have around.
    • In what sense? Be more specific  (and I have worked in retail and hospitality)  nothing I said is in any way anti-retail as far as I can see  Out of interest and for comparison, which country do you think gets it right to a significant degree?
