Having relied on this forum for a reputable company to inspect a leak from our drainpipes I was very pleased with Jon's work and can highly recommend him. He was very knowledgeable and had suspected the leak was a blockage. This job was not for the fainthearted and he and his son resolved the issue through rodding pipes, cctv inspection and cleaning up well.

If your needing someone to inspect your drains - drainpipes and sewage pipes Jon is the guy you need. Very reasonable rates too.

I can recommend Dave from Down the Drain, he sorted my drains out which had been blocked for ages very quickly and flushed lots of lovely disinfectant down them, to get rid of the dreadful smell. He was extremely responsive and came over within 4 hours of calling.

His charges are extremely reasonable.

Just had Jon from drains and mains after being recommended on here. He came over on a Sunday to help fix my blocked drains. His persistence meant the water was back flowing after less than an hour of being here (something dynorod failed to do). He is very reasonably priced and a great chap to boot. Thanks to the forum for putting me on to him.

I would like to recommend Dave from Down the Drain. We had a blocked outside drain, this seems to happen every few years. So far we've always had a well known company in, charging us a small fortune. Thought I'd try Dave. He arrived at the time we agreed, did the job and his prices are extremely competitive. Very nice guy as well! Highly recommended.

Another vote for Dave from Down The Drain. Our drains issue was much more complicated than it seemed at the outset. Dave was really clear about what needed doing, did the job well and charged a very reasonable rate for the amount of work that was required. Lovely chap too. Highly recommended.

Can recommend Don The Drain - polite, friendly, and knows his stuff.

Unblocked years of debris from our shared rainwater drain and checked everything was flowing properly all in just under an hour! Turned up on time and stuck to his original quote of ?80.

Would recommend to other ED Forum members.

Another recommendation for Dave from Down The Drain. I originally called him a few months ago for a problem that, rather embarrassingly, resolved itself before he arrived. But despite the fact that he had spent half an hour looking for our flat in Tulse Hill ( I am rubbish at giving directions) and then found he had no job to do once he got there, he refused to charge any call out fee and offered my husband advise that would mean we could fix things ourselves next time.

I called him last Friday afternoon about a blocked kitchen drain, he came around first thing on Saturday morning and the problem was resolved within half an hour.

Dave is fast, efficient, very fairly priced and just a very nice guy. We feel very secure knowing if our drains start messing around we will have Dave to help us out. :)

    • DD, "Rejoice rejoice. It's a pity he and his fellow clowns were completely annihilated at the ballot box. I mean they were doing so well after all 🙃🙃" At least the economy and unemployment weren't in the mess they are now. What is it, give the public sector a whopping pay increase with no strings attached, double the black hole and then blame it on the last Govt. Give me strength. Rachel from accounts shouldn't be anywhere near the economy. The final straw was increasing employer NI contributions and look how that's worked out. Month on month both inflation and unemployment have risen. Won't be long before inflation and u/e are exceeding 5%, but guess what, They'll blame Sunak and go.  Lets have a snap election right NOW, then see how poorly Starmer, Reeves and Rainer do. They're already plotting to get rid of Starmer, and if you think its bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Oh and did I mention Starmer wanting to stop Freedom of Speech............................................Normal people can see right through what him and co are doing, great at spending other peoples money, him and co don't have = bankruptcy. We'll just repeat the economic collapse that happened in Greece and wasn't it in Italy as well?
    • One of the best of Shakespeare 's plays.  I did Othello for A level. Also seen a number of stage and film versions. Is there any specific aspects of the play that is difficult for your daughter to understand?
    • @Sue think this is your quote.  It wasn't binary, good Vs bad, and Corbyn had a lot of popular support, as evidenced by the previous election. He had aot of good policies, some picked up by others since. He was defeated by a mixture of a right wing press, good targeting the Johnson 'Get Brexit Done" and for some that Johnson was a funny loveable rogue/fool/liar/philander/opportunist.  I wouldn't see choosing the perceived least worst candidate out of the two major parties as being "good sense'.  We imagine that Corbyn would have been terrible, but we don't know.  He would have taken a stronger line against Israel in Gaza, not sucked up to Trump nut on Russia?  Would the UK be better for that?
    • We have had 4 greyhounds - the last one, a bitch, was not speyed so we  had to pay for that at our local vet.  Only one dog was nervous around children and only one was cat friendly.
