Fox; the mystery bottle-leaver was leaving the bottles for a long time before any thread appeared. You claim that they are purely doing it because of the attention they get on the forum. But since they were happily doing it without any attention on the forum, it seems unlikely they would stop if the forum stopped discussing it.

I am intrigued by the idea that somebody who's day to day job involves peeing into used drink bottles & then abandoning them at the roadside, is so switched on in media manipulation that he/she is mounting a campaign for attention.

Making practical use of opposable thumbs & ending the day without wet trousers would seem to be a more likely goal.

It is probably oil from someone's chip pan or something, I've seen loads of people just pour their used oil into bottles so that they don't have flush it down their drain and cause a blockage. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was just doing that and leaving the bottles out as they're not entirely sure how to dispose of them.

We will overcome!

Ten orange bottles are sitting on the wall,

a little nudge will make one accidently fall.

On thing that is certain, absolutely sure,

another one will take its place once more.

Nine orange bottles, one is turning pink,

we hope that no one chances a quick drink.

I wonder where it came or where it?s made,

looks more like the colour of Lucosade.

Eight orange bottles, most contain a litre,

one has been refilled, that makes a repeater.

How can these bottles line up it?s fantastic,

glad they are not made of glass, only plastic.

Seven orange bottles, get a lot of attention,

some of us see them going for our pension.

One of them has now fallen on the ground,

lucky it is plastic did not make a sound.

Six orange bottles, all standing in a line,

I am very pleased that the wall is not mine.

Wonder if the sun will make them burst,

better they go that way or quench a thirst.

Five orange bottles, bursting to the top,

think that anyone could overheat and pop.

If they do explode, they will leave a stain,

if weather changes wash away with the rain.

Four orange bottles, now looking all forlorn,

most have their labels missing or badly torn.

I like the coloured caps, that close the top.

cant say as I like the bottom shape a lot.

Three orange bottles, is not so many now,

sure that the number will increase some how.

?Mummy why are those bottles upon the wall ??

?don't take any notice we will be late for school?.

Two orange bottles, are sitting side by side.

one feels self conscious and just wants to hide.

Each tries to hide behind the other out of sight,

they will never succeed try as they might.

One orange bottle, thinks has lost his Human Rights,

if the toilets were not removed, none suffer this plight.

The rights we had have gone to spend a Penny,

the right to do a human function? We have not any.

I saw a line of bottles, all different shades from gold through to amber this afternoon, in one of the roads leading off from LL behind the bakers. They were lined up on a BT box. I instantly thought of this thread and pointed them out to my friend, lol. I'd say, definitely pee though strangely for a curious person, I had no urge to go confirm this for myself. I'm sure he'll know what street corner it was.

As for someone living or working with no access to a toilet, why would you draw attention to yourself by leaving your stored up pee in conspicuous places? Surely they'd be far more likely to pour it down the nearest drain. My money would be on someone who feels compelled to save their urine until periodic urges dictate they go arrange them in a specific locations.

Hello, this is my first time posting...

This morning I found one of these suspicious bottles in my housemates bicycle basket which is chained to the railings on the steps to our door. The plastic bottle is the same one that my housemate had left empty in the basket.

Quite freaky that someone walked up our steps to deposit their wee... also the empty bottle had been lying down in the basket (it couldn't have been spotted from the street, how did they know it was there?!) The bike is next to our wheelie bin, could they not have put it in there if they have to leave their piss at the front of our house...... also did they take the bottle and go back in their cab (it must be a taxi driver?!) to relieve themselves or did they just do it on our steps?!?

Sorry to drag this thread up again but I'm slightly disturbed by this...

Earlier someone mentioned contacting Southwark environment team, did anyone get a response from them? Seems a bit of a silly thing to make a fuss about but it is gross and a bit creepy

    • Hi Merry Christmas no joy with that Paul Hackett email thanks
    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
