Hello, I'm not one to post on here but a nasty incident happened to me yesterday evening. I was walking along Bellenden and a woman I thought was prefectly fine - She turned out to be drunk/homeless - repreatedly verbally abused me as I walked past. I live in ED and don't often venture to Peckham but I thought I should give people a heads up as I have children and don't want this happening to them.
Not sure what you hoped to gain by posting this information. For starters, Bellenden Road is extremely long and runs from Peckham, nr. the High Street, all the way down to nearly Grove Vale. You must lead a very sheltered life if you think what happened to you is a reason to stay away from that area. Maybe the woman was drunk because she is homeless. She probably had mental health issues as well so some compassion is required.
This thread needs to be renamed to stop attracting rubber-neckers like me who thought something 'Ugly' had happened... might I suggest "Minor and subsequently overblown event"? or "Woman swears at another woman in street (she may have been drunk and/or homeless)"?

"celebrity " food blogger should be boiled in a vat of her own piss and force fed to the foxes of her beloved SE15. Lightly seasoned of course.

Perhaps egging him on as part of her psychology Ph.D...

    • Hi, my son is nine and wants to get into playing dungeons and dragons. Does anyone know of a children’s group playing nearby? Neither me or my husband ever played so we’re at a loss as to how to help!
    • Hi, found this thread searching for similar for my 9 year old son. Did you find anything locally? Thanks!
    • A lot of this is down to why the high street came into being in the first place  consumer demand  And now times has changed and consumers behave differently.  And businesses adapt to that.  It’s a bottom up approach as opposed to something imposed upon us.   It’s not to my tastes. But what do people expect to happen.  Jazzer is on to something when he says boycott Amazon - but the reality is even many who boycott Amazon choose other or more ethical alternatives. But still online  going into town for “a shop” just isn’t what people do anymore  Yeah but that’s not a real comparison. And “for ill” glosses over a lot of wrong as well  but we live in 2025 now and any of us oldies who think when we were 20 was the best time ever, a time we should go back to are just pining for our youths  there is no country in the world that can turn back the clock.  So in 2025, where is the closest vision of somewhere you would like.  Because if you look globally you don’t just get capitalism.  You can choose dictatorships or communism too
