I don't normally like blowing my own trumpet (oh, who am I kidding?!) but *cough*, *cough*....

Mr Admin, could I have a telegram please for my 1000th post is this very one.

I currently suffer from stage three of Forumitis but have no fear in the knowledge that there are some out there whose posting levels are soooo high that they shall remain atop the plateau of stage 4 obsessiveness unmolested by my presence. There are some things one is never meant to accomplish!

This feat has taken me just over a year to achieve and I can safely say that I have met some new lovely people, kept myself sane at work, occassionaly said things I've regretted, and genuinely had a smashing time.

God bless the Forum - and all who sail in her.

Hmmm, I'm still 600 ahead of Sean, I thought he'd have caught up a bit, but guess he's posting has dipped as much as mine. I do still have days where I post a lot, but nothing like I did a year ago!

Can someone tell us who the biggest posters are at the mo, in terms of current post rate?

I guess it's total posts/ # days since registering

There was a time when I thought I could overtake you keef and claim the first 10,000th post... but I think I've left it too late. I definitely think you should claim some kind of reward when you make it tho...

Congrats Annaj as well

    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
