Isn't Janet Street Porter a bit scary?

Woke up.

Mumbled to child.

Ignored child for rest of day.

Went to new church in Dulwich.

Went to Lidl to buy more wool.

Knitted two squares of baby blanket.

Attended baby shower (had to cross the river!) without completed blanket.

Cooked beef stew for over two hours.

Consumed bottle of wine and posted load of rubbish on fourm.

I can say that I started the day well, when I tried to take a glass of whiskey onto a night bus and was severly reprimanded - I left it for my friends... ;-)

After that I achieved very little. Oh hang on - I won several games of pool on the trot

Communicated with Lady MacGabhann on t'other side of world

read the Sindy and Observer

walked a LOT

did a major clean-up of the flat

put the world to rights (daily, that one ;-) )

Woke up with hangover.

Splashed cold water on my face.

Dragged my clothes on and had tea and toast.

Took dog with me to Green meeting in Archway cos didn't have time to walk him.

Debated Green issues for hours.

Took dog to massive park in Archway and ate Sunday Lunch.

Decided I was still too hungover to be arsed going back for afternoon session so went home.

Lay around my house.

Had a brandy.

Felt better.

Washed two loads of clothes.

E-mailed, Forumed & Facebooked.

Had some more brandy.

Felt even better.

God, that WOMAN!!!

Not sure scary is the right word but pain in the hole she most certainly is... what did she say today that wound me up?? summat about how M&S shouldn't sell real food and should focus on ready meals. Which is an opinion that people hold - but not always one that she holds all the time

She vacillates all the time.... but my opinion of her is constant

And cha1ie - some warning for non-broadband forumites please!!!!

Had my Sunday clean through including making my kids DO their bedrooms. Cooked Tuesday's stew, wednesday's curry. Had a long bubble bath. Bribed my boys to take a long bubble bath. Ex came over ordered a take away and watched crap TV except Louis Theroux which wasnt even THAT good. Enough I think on my day of rest.

Got up, congratulated and thanked friends on previous day's marriage.

Wended way back from midlands, 2 episodes of The Wire, watched Walk the Line, processed photos of my mum's wedding and flickred them.

Washed up, tidied up, quick browse of forum. Bed, MOTD then sleep.

Now, what exhibition are you going to? (are there other reasons to go to Essen?) I'm away there at the end of march. Can;t decide if i shoudl drive, and fill me car up with spares while out there, or fly from Stanstead, which is by far the easiest way I have to say.

Anyhow

I did some stretching exercised for 30 mins to try and sort out my hamsterstrings...then re-installed all the software I use on my PC following a HDD crash on Monday :-(

Then spent lots of time e-mail companies to say I have bought your product so need a KEY for activation...that'll learn me not to print everything off....

Discovered if you type PORN into Google it returns some alarming images..that wasted 8 hours....

Oh, and planned my runs for this coming week.

E

I got up and made it into work

it was touch and go,as I feel a bit sniffly and could do with a week off.again

    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

Worth contacting her with views on ammendments to the original license. I am fairly sure she won't grant any amendments, but just in case.....
    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
