Aha. So the rule of possessive apostrophes only applies to proper nouns e.g The dog bites El Pibe's bottom.

"It's" is always "it is", never possessive.

I think the only other time the rule is broken is with numbers. i.e. "I'm all at 6's and 7's"

I get annoyed with that and numbers, specifically dates. Surely it should be th 1980s not the 1980's - as 1980's has a separate meaning as in "1980's summer was especially wet"?

I think it's generally considered acceptable when clearing up ambiguity, say cd's rather than the tla cds.

DC's sxamples are legit but have been falling out of favour over the years.

It's OK, though I can't see why it become the biggest animated film ever. More of a Disney film (one layered obvious plot, all aimed at kids) than a Pixar film (lots of clever subplots and references that adults get and slightly go over children's heads).

Having seen kids watch it, girls tend to like it more than boys.

A curious decision i thought.
