Hey - so yeah I have tickets to see About Time - am going with a friend who had a baby last week (she may therefore pull out!) but see you there Ginny (any anyone else who fancies it!).

Power-pramming was really fun actually. I've only done it once but am up for doing it on Monday after the meet up if anyone else is keen. Also - just to report back - I went to mum and baby zumba today at Push Studios - was a real work out (I did not look pretty!) and i'm trying the post natal pilates class tomorrow. Just thought i'd say in case anyone had the urge to come join!

Lou (and Bobby)

Defo up for power pramming after 6 week check so 16th sept and the Zumba sounds fab will defo try that to- cheers for the updates Lou. Can't do baby cinema on Friday as look after my 3 yr old also that day but when Peckham restarts on a Thursday will be a regular! For info there is a free music class for babies at all fired up cafe this Friday at 10 run by company called Lucy sparkles.

Hi there, I think I may be a little late to the party (!) but I was told about this forum by a lovely mum at baby sensory class in Forest Hill.

I had my son Walter on June 27th and can't believe how quickly time has flown. Anyway, I'd love to join the group if I'm still allowed! My NCT group were talking about baby cinema on Thursdays at Peckham Multiplex, so maybe see some of you there, and I am also keen on powerpramming (though a little scared!).

Happy sunny Thursdays everyone x

Hi

I'm having my hair cut tomorrow (Milo and Davis in Herne Hill have Parent and Child Mondays where you can take you babies/children along) but would love to join you another week. My baby was born in June.

Hope you and babies are all doing well.

Kate

Hi Everyone,

I am a late joiner to the forum. I have a 3 month old little girl and i am looking to meet some mums in the area. I live in Nunhead and me and baby have not been to any groups yet (been to tired to get out).

I am i first time mum and single parent and would love to make some mummy friends! If anyone is local and free to meet it would be great to hear from you.

Hope your all well.

X

Hi All,

I was planning to meet up today with Sally in Peckham Rye park cafe at 11:30 if any one else is free. We will probably be inside if it is too cool outside. Look out for the two of us both with lie flat buggies, mine is grey the other is for twins.

Philippa and Juliet

Toby and I will try to come along but we're stuck at home waiting for a delivery at the moment, so will depend if they come in time. Unfortunately the delivery slot is rather unhelpful (8 - 18.30!) so who knows when we'll be allowed out! Hopefully see you in a bit.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. Hope some of these might provide leads. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137603-home-schooling-advice-anyone-wants-to-do-it-together/#comment-1092093 Very old post but group seems still to exist: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/92044-home-education-local-group/#comment-954837 You could try contacting this forum member: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/325368-classroom-support-for-home-education-community/#comment-1621064 Two of these left for right now: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/events/event/1025-🌟-teens-11-try-painting-sculpture-street-art-at-holiday-workshops/
    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
