My good friends next-door neighbours Wife used to regularly entertain one of the Actors mentioned during the day while her beloved Husband was at work in ED if that counts(6)B)

....maybe they had a mutual love of Scrabble....?...certainly seemed a great deal of scrabbling around,apparently..:)

Seconded - I saw that show too and it was a fabulous performance.

I saw Jo Brand in Dulwich Village, near to the Village Bookshop. I smiled at her broadly, and she looked, smiled back, then almost instantly and at the same time as me looked puzzled and embarrassed as we realised that we didn't actually know each other.

I also witnessed the humorous incident that Jenny Eclair wrote about in the August edition of Living Death, er, South.

The lesser spotted Rod Liddle.I cant call him a bottom feeding twat on this forum, as its a pesronal opinion & shouldnt be written on here, but did anyone see his latest bile flecked , anti NUFC outpourings in last weeks Sunday times sport bit?

a nice bit of wikipedia C&P

"He married his long-term girlfriend and HTV reporter, Rachel Royce, in March 2004 in Malaysia. They had had two sons together. Six months later, he moved in with Alicia Monckton, a twenty-two year old receptionist at The Spectator magazine whom he had been seeing for some years, and his wife divorced him. It later transpired that he had cut his honeymoon short so that he could go to comfort Monckton, whose mother had died.[7] They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. On 5 May 2005 Liddle was arrested for common assault against his then pregnant girlfriend Alicia Monckton. He was held under domestic violence guidelines which allow police to question suspects without cooperation from victims. He later was given and accepted a police caution for the offence. Liddle was reported as accepting the caution......"

    • I have sympathy with any voter, anyone, who having witnessed the last 14 years and then Labour in the last year and wonders just how can things be this bad  unless a) they voted for brexit b) voted Tory after 2010 c) is thinking of voting reform  because anyone who thinks reform won’t make things a thousand times worse after voting for the previous?  It is they who are the problem.  They are the reason the country is in the doldrums with an embarrassingly-timid Labour government
    • In what way? Maybe it just felt more intelligent and considered coming directly after Question Time, which was a barely watchable bun fight.
    • Yes, all this. Totally Sephiroth. The electorate wants to see transformation overnight. That's not possible. But what is possible is leading with the right comms strategy, which isn't cutting through. As I've said before, messaging matters more now than policy, that's the only way to bring the electorate with you. And I worry that that's how Reform's going to get into power.  And the media LOVES Reform.
    • “There was an excellent discussion on Newscast last night between the BBC Political Editor, the director of the IFS and the director of More In Common - all highly intelligent people with no party political agenda ” I would call this “generous”   Labour should never have made that tax promise because, as with - duh - Brexit, it’s pretending the real world doesn’t exist now. I blame Labour in no small part for this delusion. But the electorate need to cop on as well.  They think they can have everything they want without responsibilities, costs or attachments. The media encourage this  Labour do need to raise taxes. The country needs it.  Now, exactly how it’s done remains to be seen. But if people are just going to go around going “la la laffer curve. Liars! String em up! Vote someone else” then they just aren’t serious people reckoning with the problem yes Labour are more than a year into their term, but after 14 years of what the Tories  did? Whoever takes over, has a major problem
