I think we'd prefer it to be referred to as fuzz, not beards. Facial fuzz (soft and fair, invisible to all but the most close examination) has certain connotations; bearded ladies, something quite different. 'All the fun of the fair' would never again have the same meaning for us.

Actually, when he was with Ms Kidman (a case of mutual bearding, allegedly) wasn't there a rumour circulating Dulwich that Tom Cruise was moving within spitting distance of the Toll Gate, perhaps that was why.

Yes, the biggest house on the left 50 yards past Oddbins as you head towards the park. Opposite Pickwick Road. They were spotted in the Dog at around the same time so it could have been true, but it has passed into Dulwich myth and legend.

I am not sure he has lived there for a while. The house went on the market again very soon after he moved in, and the estate agent's "For Sale" sign remained up for ages as the front garden got more and more overgrown and dilapidated. I am not sure though whether he ever sold up - the "Stoke City FC" stained glass window is still in the bedroom window visible from the rear! - although the house is now clearly occupied again.

No, he has gone a long time, but he did live there once. His wife is a local of East Dulwich I belive.

Reckon he must have had it with cars crashing into his garden wall, there was a time when it seemed as if the great and good of (the smart end of) Underhill where woken by a crash, bang, wallop every other month.

Mr Hancock and his Iranian wife and kids moved a couple of years ago. There is a young family living in the house now.

I had no idea about her accent as I was only really on nodding terms with them. I live a few doors up from the house and would invariably bump into them now and again. They seemed a very nice couple.

Not very specific this, but my neighbour and pal told me she saw a man she recognised in the Uplands a while back. She couldn't place him but then got talking to him and he told her he was an actor and had been in Troy with Brad Pitt. Don't know his name, but he lives on CP Road. Nero
