The often repeated idea that Reform are the party appealing primarily to working class voters in the north, is not born out by research undertaken by Legatum. It suggests that their voters are overwhelmingly older, more affluent (AB, C1/2), ex Conservative voters, from 'non-London South'. Primary concerns are immigration followed by opposition to green policies and social progress. They mainly seem to made up of the same angry old home county types who have ensured a rarely uninterrupted string of Tory governments for many decades. Don't know whether that research is to be believed or not, but interesting if true and very at odds with the narrative Reform are spinning. -

Wasn't it two ancient oak trees that the contractors were insisting had to be removed to work on the bridge? This was to make movement of heavy vehicles easier. Locals resisted. -

Slight crossed wires I think, but either way you are right. The venue in question I referred to as being in Bellenden is 139 Fika which is in Bellenden Road, not Forza Wine, which is in Rye Lane. I talked about Bellenden estate agent baloney here and was completely in agreement with you. https://open.substack.com/pub/eatsdulwich/p/restaurant-review-139-fika?r=8oe6m&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
