Once plotted up my comfort film is Fried Green Tomatoes

Dunno why, just makes me feel all ok with the world. Plus the food looks pretty good too.

Seconded. For more mainstream comfort I enjoyed a recent reshowing of A Few Good Men. The final scene with Jack Nicholson snarling "you want the truth, you want the truth? You can't handle the truth" remains intensely satisfying.
