To the porky, balding 40-50 year old with three dogs (one on lead) - the last two mornings I've taken photos of your dogs shitting right in front of you in areas where children play and people like to picnic. On neither occasion did you bother to pick the mess up and dispose of it in one of the many suitable bins so I'm going to report you. Dirty, ignorant people like you make life that bit worse for everyone else.

How I wish I had been able to catch the serial litterers who had left Dulwich Park in such a state this morning. All along the bowling green, tissues, crisp packet, empty glass bottle, doilies, paper plates...nice.

I spoke to the community warden and he said that he'd recently asked some picnickers to extinguish a BBQ, reluctantly they had done this, but left a load of rubbish behind. He managed to catch up with them and had a word and was told by one guy that he would like to punch him in the face.

I just think that as a community we should try to tackle all forms of anti-social behaviour.

I really enjoy outdoor exercise, and I've gone through the process of signing a contract and pay for a permit that means that as a personal trainer I must use the common within a set of rules. If I were to break them I'd lose my freedom to use the space as so. Therefore I agree with 'first mate'- as a community we should try to tackle such forms of anti-social behaviour. How in this instance?

Mako, indeed, my feeling is a more broad ranging survey on a variety of perceived issues in the parks, might be more efficacious, killing a variety of birds with one stone, so to speak. It might be cheaper too and give a general overview of ways public spaces could be improved as well as providing more balanced and coherent view of what the public want.

It is also the case, I believe, and from what I have gleaned on the forum, that the biggest issue with dogs is fouling (as in the title of this thread) which is arguably a kind of litter, albeit a highly unpleasant form, and one that none of us want.

I'd rather on the spot fines than naming & shaming which

I still feel uneasy about.

First they took photos of the dog foulers, then they took photos of

the canoodlers and philanderers and finally they took photos of

everybody, just in case.

It is generally a bad idea if you have anything you would rather people

not know. get the dog wardens out - and bring back a dog tax.

Dogs need to relieve themselves somewhere. So long as the owners pick it up, no problem, no need to name or shame.

Who'd have thought that 363 passengers were such sensitive souls!

    • You could also hire a circular saw from the Library of Things inside the Dulwich Leisure Centre?
    • I was bitten by a smallish dog (black terrier type), in lead, yesterday afternoon (Monday 2 March, approx 1.15pm) at the corner of Heber Road and Cyrena Road.  Nothing too serious, but I have a small wound on my calf and a hole in my jeans. The owner (a middle aged woman) couldn't control her dog, pretended it didn't happen and did a runner.  I managed to take a picture of her as she walked away.  Not a great picture but if you recognise her could you please DM some info so I can report the incident?  If only to ensure that she is spoken to, as this is obviously a dangerous dog and is not under control... Many thanks.
    • I've got no wish to discuss this  again. I've already given my views on a previous  thread in the lounge. I take it you won't be voting Green, but I'm wondering quite where you are coming from with all these attacks on them? Where do your political sympathies lie?  This thread was supposed to be about James McAsh's move away from Labour 🙄 Anyway, it is hopefully another nice day and I'm off to do some gardening.
